Influencer Reveals Shocking Luggage Costs for 100 Designer Shoes: ‘They’re My Trophies’

While some may go to any length to avoid an excess baggage charge when flying, one woman proudly pays thousands of dollars to ship her shoes across the world.

Livia Gueissaz, a Brazilian influencer, is a jet–setter who never leaves her designer collection behind, often carrying 100 pairs of shoes with her on flights.

Ahead of her trips, the fashion analyst, 38, tucks the accessories into satin-lined boxes which are packed into eight Louis Vuitton trunks filled entirely with shoes.

For long-haul international flights, Livia tells Daily Mail the logistics can get intense, with excess luggage costing her around AU$16,400 to AU$20,500.

However, nowadays, Livia tries to avoid commercial flights where possible, choosing instead to take a private jet to avoid the hassle.

‘I usually fly private. It’s easier when you’re travelling with your own archive – and a little less heartbreaking if customs decides to open every box,’ she says.

While some may agonise over what outfits to pack for their holidays, Livia says clothes come second to her shoes.

Hauling up to 100 pairs on her latest trip, the brunette beauty enjoys parading her designer trunks through airport lounges and five-star suites.

‘When most people pack holiday suitcases with dresses, jeans and a few practical shoes, I do the opposite,’ she says.

‘I don’t travel with wardrobes – I travel with personas. I travel with moods.

‘Clothes can be repeated, improvised, or borrowed. But shoes? They’re my trophies, my armour, my identity.’

Livia has recently been known to travel with a collection of shoes worth an eye-watering AU$1,127,505 in total.

Her luggage reads like a fantasy inventory: stilettos for dinners that never end and designer sneakers for ‘comfort, but only if they’re limited edition’.

She also carries statement boots ranging from thigh-high leather to studded biker, and crystal–encrusted sandals for a ‘poolside sparkle’.

The ritual is as much a performance as it is practical.

Bellhops wheel in towers of trunks, private jets transform into flying shoe closets, and five–star suites become runways lined with Louboutins, Manolos, and Jimmy Choos.

‘Other travellers collect souvenirs. I bring the whole archive with me,’ she laughs. ‘With the right shoes, you’re never the same woman twice.’

Livia’s expensive tastes don’t just stretch to her designer shoes, as she is also known to have a fondness for high–performance cars.

Her vehicle collection includes a Porsche 911 Turbo S (approximately AU$610,000) and a Ferrari 512 TR (approximately AU$450,000), among others.

Livia has also been a contender for the title of Miss Europe Continental, and often flaunts her jet–setting lifestyle and designer belongings online.
