Aussie indie-rock band Ball Park Music lead singer Sam Cromack has opened up about how difficult it was to keep the exciting news they were chosen to be Oasis’ supporting act a secret.
The singer appeared on The Project on Friday and told the hosts about the most challenging part about being chosen to support Oasis on their upcoming Australian tour.
‘It was a big secret [being chosen] and it was agonising keeping it. Now it is out in the open, we can finally believe it is true,’ Sam began.
He then revealed his excitement that Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, 52, had personally chosen the band to support them.
‘It was unbelievable that he heard our song and made a choice!’ Sam said.
The singer added he was delighted to be sharing a stage with the Gallagher brothers and was excited about meeting them in person.

‘We’re very polite people and we are bracing for whatever. If they want to go hard and stay out all night, we will do that,’ he said.
‘But if they don’t want to see us at all, we will just mind our own business!’
The Brisbane five-piece act will be supporting the Brit pop stars on five massive stadium gigs in Sydney and Melbourne as part of the Oasis Live in ’25 reunion shows.
The band formed in 2008 and last week went to number one on the ARIA chart with their new album Like Love.
Ball Park Music have released eight studio albums and consist of members, Sam Cromack on vocals and guitar, bassist Jennifer Boyce, Paul Furness on keyboards and trombone.
Completing the line up are rhythm guitarist Dean Hanson and Daniel Hanson on drums.
Oasis are set to play in Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on October 31, November 1 and November 4, before heading to Sydney’s Accor Stadium on November 7 and November 8.
The decision by Oasis to select an Aussie support act reverses a trend where promoters have been reluctant to reserve a spot for local performers on international tours.

It comes after some fans have slammed the decision for Oasis only having shows in Melbourne and Sydney.
‘Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth getting shafted again,’ one disgruntled fan wrote.
