“I’m sick of it”: Kerry Katona slams Keir Starmer for prioritizing foreign aid over UK support

Kerry Katona has slammed Keir Starmer for ‘sending money to other countries instead of helping the UK’ as the soap star got political.  

The TV personality, 38, has made her opinions of the new Prime Minister known in her New! magazine column. 

Writing in the magazine, Kerry shared her concerns about the recent race riots which have unfolded in the UK, branding the situation ‘scary’.

‘I feel like the whole country is in trouble right now with riots and things like that. It’s scary,’ she said. ‘Keir Starmer has pledged £84million for projects in Africa and the Middle East and I think it’s great we’re helping other countries, but what is he doing for the people of the UK? 

‘Or for the homeless and the NHS? I just don’t feel like we’re getting the support we need and I’m sick of it.’

It comes just days after she blasted Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward for ‘cutting contact’ with her daughter Mia after she made a racy OnlyFans account. 

Model Mia, 19, is the daughter of the soapstar and claimed over the weekend that she has been estranged from her family after rowing over her racy shoots for the subscription site.

Kerry, who charges users $24.99 to access her account, has claimed to have made over £1million on OnlyFans, and insisted she feels ’empowered’ by the site.

Speaking about Sammy’s actions, the former Atomic Kitten singer branded the drama ‘so sad’ and said there was ‘no shame’ in the site. 

She told OK! Magazine: ‘I think that’s so sad. Losing a relationship with your daughter isn’t worth it – and as an actress you’d think she’d be more understanding of the industry.’

Kerry added: ‘There’s no shame in doing OnlyFans. Don’t get me wrong, I’d have a meltdown if any of my kids started doing it. 

‘I’d be livid – but at the end of the day, they’re my babies and I could never stop contact. It’s not worth it.’ 

She has daughters Molly, 22 and Lilly, 20 with her ex husband Brian McFadden who she was married to from 2002–2006.

Kerry is also mum to Heidi, 17, and Max, 15, with ex husband Mark Croft and eight-year-old DJ from her relationship with the late George Kay.

Previously she said how OnlyFans helped her out of a bad financial situation and she doesn’t see anything wrong with using her looks to make money.

The singer said to Jeremy Kyle Live on TalkTV: ‘This is a money-making thing. I’ve been through bankruptcies twice. I started out as a glamour model, I wasn’t going to be a rocket scientist.

‘I use my looks and my chest to get me out of the council estate. For me, all I care about it is what my kids think of me. 

‘I’m earning lots of money and creating great memories, great adventures. It’s given me opportunities to create this amazing life that I’ve given my children.’

Mia earns up to £30,000 a month for selling racy images and videos, but hasn’t spoke to her Emmerdale star mother ‘for months’ because of her choice.

She recently said the pair had a row about OnlyFans four months ago and has been cut off from her mother and the rest of the family. 

Sammy played Katie Sugden in the countryside soap for 14 years, before leaving in 2015. 

Talking about the fallout, Mia told The Sun: ‘She said some pretty mean things when we did last speak, it was awful.

‘But I absolutely love my mum, I love all of my family but none of them speak to me now.’ 

Mia opened up an OnlyFans account earlier this year after she spoke to friends who were on the site.
