Meshel Laurie has taken to social media to reveal the reality of celebrating Christmas as a single mother to fourteen-year-old twins Louis and Dali.
The podcaster, 50, shared a photo to Instagram on Christmas of a Kmart table set with its legs bent at different angles and captioned it with some reflective words.
‘Single mum Christmas. Trying to assemble this poxy Kmart table setting so tomorrow feels different to every other day,’ she began.
‘Still have lots of wrapping to do. I know I’m not the only one trying to think of ways to make it special.’
Meshel then said she was working hard at creating a memorable Christmas for her children.

‘Love to you all. I know from experience they’ll remember the little things and the effort.’
