Coleen Rooney admitted that marrying her husband Wayne abroad ruffled some feathers within their families during Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celeb.
The WAG, 38, and her football star husband, 39, tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Italy in 2008, with the big day said to have cost an estimated ยฃ5m.ย
As the campmates got to know each other better on the third evening of their jungle experience, McFly’s Danny Jones asked Coleen:ย ‘Did you get married up North?’ย
She explained: ‘No, we got married inย Italy, andย it was hard because we had to leave certain family and that,’ before trailing off with: ‘It did cause a bit of…’
‘It always does,’ Danny interrupted, to which Coleen responded: ‘But you know what? It was the best, we had four days and it was the best time ever. I don’t regret it, it was amazing.’ย
The bill for Coleen and Wayne’s lavish wedding celebrations included close to ยฃ1million on pre-wedding celebrations, ยฃ400,000 to book Coleenโs favourite band, Westlife, and ยฃ200,000 on her dress.

After both a civil and church ceremony the newlyweds celebrated at the Villa Durazzo, for a champagne reception, which continued on until 4am.
A live band played a medley of Frank Sinatra songs and enjoyed a ยฃ50,000 firework display.ย
True to form, the couple reportedly decided against sophisticated fare, opting for a sit-down meal of pizza.
Since then, the pair have welcomed four sons and have battled through their fair share of hardships, but have continued to stand by one another.
The couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary in June by sharing a clip of their lavish 2008 nuptials to Instagram.
Coleen shared a clip of herself watching back their wedding video as Wayne gave his speech before the couple enjoyed their first dance.
The bride looked gorgeous in a strapless gown with veil while the baby faced groom was dapper in a suit, she captioned the clip ’16 years happy anniversary @Waynerooney’.

Meanwhile Wayne marked the occasion on his own grid and shared a loved up snap from the time of the wedding, with Coleen this time in a white Grecian gown, amid one of her three dress changed on the big day.
He wrote: ‘Happy Anniversary @coleen_rooney. 16 years today. Love you’.ย
In Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celeb, Coleen also opened up about the early days of her relationship with Wayne.
The WAG met the former England footballer when they were just 12 years old but the pair did not start dating until she was 16.
Coleen recalled ‘getting embarrassed’ when Wayne used to turn up at her school in a Bentley when he was playing for Everton.
She said: ‘I was still at school when he was playing for Everton. I used to walk out and all the girls were going, ‘Whose is that car there?’
‘And he was in a Bentley and something else and there’s Wayne in the passenger seat with his arm out and one of the players like Thomas Gravesen.’
She admitted: ‘I just used to get embarrassed’, before clarifying that the car wasn’t his, ‘he just used to get a lift home!’

Coleen also revealed that Wayne proved he was committed to her as he got her name tattooed on his arm.
Telling a story of going to her friend’s 18th birthday party, she explained how she got a call from Wayne’s cousin before asking if she spelt her name with 1 L or 2.
Asking why, he said: ‘I’m just with our Wayne in town, he’s getting a tattoo.’
Explaining she’d ‘not long been going with him. I go to this party later on, and he’s going to everybody like this [mocks showing her arm]. He’d got my name tattooed on him! At 17!’
Later on the ITV show, the campmates received their luxury items however, instead of the celebrities choosing what they wanted, their loved ones have sent them the surprise item.
And Coleen was sent a thoughtful personalised pillow with a family photo on so she can still see her four sons, Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six.
