The plot follows how the US president tries to deal with an incoming missile attack – and doesn’t pull any punches.
‘When a single, unattributed missile is launched at the United States, a race begins to determine who is responsible and how to respond,’ the streaming site’s synopsis reads.
Those who have been lucky to watch A House Of Dynamite have raved about the new film.
In 2023, Idris’s daughter Isan revealed she wants to follow in her father’s footsteps during an interview with Tatler magazine.

She admitted she wants to be a producer after ‘growing up on film sets’ thanks to her actor dad.
Speaking to Tatler, Isan explained: ‘I want to be a producer. I grew up on film sets and I’ve been around that my entire life so it was kind of a no-brainer.
‘When I was much younger I thought I wanted to be a veterinarian, but once I realised what my parents did – and you know, they are my idols – I realised I want to be in the film industry,’
She was also asked how she felt about her father being voted ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by People Magazine in 2018.
She jokingly replied: ‘It is [cringe]. I try to ignore it. Sometimes I wake up from nightmares in cold sweats thinking about that.’
Isan then shared some advice her father gave her: ‘He’s always taught me to make sure you acknowledge everybody you’re around because you never know who you’re going to meet. They could be your next best friend!’
Idris revealed at the time that Isan didn’t speak to him for three weeks after she failed to land a role in one of his films.
The actor admitted that producer Will Packer had to break the news she didn’t get the part in his upcoming film Beast, where she would have played The Wire star’s daughter as the family are terrorised by a lion.
Speaking on iHeart Radio’s morning show The Breakfast Club, Idris admitted that despite their real-life connection, the chemistry between himself and Isan ‘wasn’t right’ for the film.
Idris explained: ‘The relationship in the film and the relationship between my daughter was, the chemistry wasn’t right for the film. Weirdly enough.’
He added that Isan ‘didn’t talk to him for about three weeks’ when she got the call from Will confirming she hadn’t got the part.
Will himself also shared insight into the moment he had to call Isan and break the news, adding: #I called and talked to her, ’cause I’ve known her for a very long time … I’m like ”Uncle Will.”
‘He [Idris] auditioned with her, he was very tough on her, he said, ”Listen, at the end of the day we’re going to make the best decision for the movie. I trust you, Will, trust the director,” and she was very good, very close.’
Luckily Idris later clarified that Isan took it well in the end, and she even accompanied him to the film’s premiere .
‘She was very gracious about it and we got through that you know and I’m really proud of her to go through that, not get the role, but still come to the premiere,’ he added.
