Bondi Hardware has announced it will be closing its doors after 12 years.
The iconic venue was purchased by Applejack Hospitality founders Ben Carroll and Hamish Watts in 2010 who converted the old hardware shop into a restaurant.
They sold the business in 2018 and it continued to trade as normal under the new ownership.
However, the venue has now confirmed it will be shutting its doors due to financial challenges.
‘After 12+ incredible years of serving good times—bottomless brunches, cocktails, Sunday roasts, live music, first dates (and even weddings)—it’s time to say goodbye,’ they wrote on Instagram.
‘Like many in hospitality, we’ve faced our share of challenges—navigating the impact of COVID, rising costs of living, and increasing prices of food, alcohol, utilities and rent.’

‘It’s certainly not how we wanted it to end.’
They also thanked the ‘incredible community’ and ‘amazing staff’ for their support over the years.
