Rihanna could headline Glastonbury 2024 after negotiations with legendary musician Stevie Wonder broke down.
The Stay singer, 36, is the latest rumoured name for the Sunday night headline slot with bookies suggesting that she could close the Pyramid Stage and leads the market at 7/2.
Other favourites to close the festival include Bruce Springsteen at 5/1, Eminem at 11/2 and Cher at 8/1.
Neil Roarty, spokesperson for betideas.com told The Sun: ‘There seems to have been another dramatic twist in our long search for a Sunday night headliner, with Rihanna the latest name on everyone’s lips.
‘Stevie Wonder was the previous favourite in the betting but has drifted out to 14/1 after talks reportedly broke down with festival organisers, with Rihanna now the 7/2 favourite.

She was reportedly ‘approached about Glastonbury’ by organisers Emily Eavis and her father Michael, after the news broke that she would perform at the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime show.
However she had to pull out, as her second child with rapper ASAP Rocky was due that summer.
Rihanna unveiled the pregnancy at the US Superbowl concert by sporting a red ensemble that showed off her blooming bump.
If the singer – who emerged onto the music scene at the tender age of 17 as Jay-Z’s protégée accepts – she would join Coldplay and Dua Lipa – who are also rumoured to be taking to the stage at the famous farm in Somerset – as the three headliners at the festival from June 26 to 30.

It is thought the team struggled to make the legendary musicians schedule work as he has some yet-to-be-announced summer shows to attend.
Stevie last appeared at the festival in 2010 when it was Glastonbury’s 40th birthday.
It comes after sources previously revealed that talks with Madonna collapsed after organisers refused to pay the fee to bring her live show to the festival.
A Glastonbury source told The Mail on Sunday at the time: ‘To be honest it’s been a real blow not being able to nail down a deal with Madonna.
‘Emily was so keen to have her play the legend slot. After she saw Madonna’s tour in London in October she raved about her on Instagram, something she rarely does without Glastonbury in mind.
‘But everyone knows that after last year, and the criticism over the gender balance, we’ve got to have big name females heading the line-up. Dua Lipa is a real catch. Now we need another.
‘There is still some hope it an be resurrected but it’s pretty unlikely. There are money issues at the root of this, it’s a real shame.’
The hotly-anticipated festival will be taking place from Wednesday June 26 to Sunday June 30, 2024.
