Iconic music producer Steve Albini, known for working with Nirvana, Pixies, PJ Harvey and more, dies at 61 from a heart attack

Steve Albini, the iconic alternative music pioneer who produced Nirvana’s In Utero album, has died at 61. 

The Italian-American musician and record producer died from a heart attack, his staff at his recording studio, Electric Audio, confirmed. 

Kurt Cobain and his band Nirvana famously hired Albini to produce their third album In Utero in 1993, the last studio album from the band before Cobain shot himself.
