Ice Spice learned a lot when she was working with Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour in 2023.
The stylish Bronx native, 25, not only spent time on stage with Swift, 35, but sang with her on the remixed single Karma, introducing the song at the Eras Tour concert in East Rutherford, NJ.
As a relative newcomer to the music industry, the Phat Butt artist was able to take in a lot from the Grammy winner just by being around her.
‘The thing about Taylor is that she keeps it so real,’ the singer said in an interview with Nylon magazine.
‘Not even kidding, but one of the biggest things that I always think about that Taylor said is “As long as you keep making music, everything’s going to be fine,”‘ she told the outlet.
That’s not to say Ice is being mentored whenever she sees the newly engaged artist.

‘Every time we hang out, she’s not just giving me advice, you know what I mean? We’re talking about the food we’re eating or whatever’s going on in the moment,’ she explained.
Ice said the advice has come in useful ‘Whenever I’m feeling doubtful or not as confident,’ or ‘having writer’s block.’
‘No matter what it is, things like that really, really stand out to me,’ she asserted, adding, ‘She said that to me a few years ago, and it still stood with me.’
Swift has praised Ice, born Isis Gaston, as ‘the one to watch’ for her work ethic and as a ‘brilliant artist,’ for her body of work.
The two have maintained their friendship since their Karma remix.
They sat together at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2023 where Ice won the award for Best New Artist.
She was also spotted cheering Swift’s future fiancé Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs at their Super Bowl victory in Las Vegas in 2024.
The pair looked more somber in the stands when the Chiefs lost in New Orleans in February.

On September 4, Ice released her first single of 2025, a collaboration with Latto titled Gyatt.
The track and accompanying video, shot in a wrestling ring, play up to the perceived beef between the two artists.
The single has done well on streaming services since it’s release.
In a testament to Ice Spice’s worldwide appeal the song reached the top five on UK charts.
