Hugh Jackman’s replacement for BST Hyde Park has been revealed after the singer was forced to pull out due to an ‘unforeseen scheduling conflict.’
The Hollywood star was due to take to the stage on Sunday July 6, but revealed earlier this month that he would be unable to appear.
Now, it’s been confirmed that Sabrina Carpenter will be stepping in to replace Hugh by adding a second night to her headline set at the event, with tickets set to go on sale on Monday, February 24.
The star will be joined by special guests Clairo and Olivia Dean, with the full line-up still to be announced.
Hugh, who is currently going through a ‘messy’ divorce from wife Deborra-Lee Furness, announced on February 3 that he would be unable to perform in July.
A statement on Instagram read: ‘Due to unforeseen conflict in my schedule, I am deeply disappointed to announce I will be unable to perform in Hyde Park this July 6th.

With a career spanning over three decades, Hugh is best known for playing Wolverine in the X-Men franchise but Jackman began his career in musical theatre, starting with his role as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast in Australia.
This led to an Olivier-nominated performance in the West End’s Oklahoma! and a Tony Award-winning role in Broadway’s The Boy from Oz.
He returned to musicals in the 2012 film Les Miserables, and in 2017’s The Greatest Showman, and in 2021, he returned to Broadway in a revival of The Music Man, which was a box office hit.
After announcing Hugh Jackman Live: From New York With Love at Radio City Music Hall, a series of US concerts for 2025, Hugh was meant to be heading across the pond for his UK show.
Hugh performed his opening night of his From New York, With Love concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City this month and on Saturday, he shared his exuberant reaction to his first performance on Instagram.
Hugh’s friend and Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds, the film’s director Shawn Levy and his girlfriend Sutton Foster all attended Jackman’s opening night.

It comes after he went public with his romance with former co-star Sutton Foster earlier this month.
Sutton and Hugh starred together in The Music Man on Broadway from December 2021 until January 2023.
Soon followed rumours that the pair had struck up a romance, with fans questioning what was behind Hugh’s shock split from his long-time wife, Deborra-Lee Furness.
Foster and Jackman have been swarmed in recent months by rumors that an affair between the two scuttled their marriages.
Fans had remarked on how close they appeared to be in their off-stage interactions while they appeared together in The Music Man.
Furness seemed to lend credence to the rumors when she liked an Instagram post in October from a gossip blogger who claimed that her husband was ‘running off with the mistress’ and planning a ‘soft launch’ of their relationship, according to Us Weekly.
BST Hyde Park kicks off on June 27, with Olivia Rodrigo taking to the stage, while Zach Bryan performances on June 28th and 29.
Noah Kahan will headline on July 4, with Sabrina set to take to the stage on July 5th, and now the 6th.
The festival will close out on July 13, where Jeff Lynne’s ELO will take to the stage.
