Hugh Jackman has been mocked for his singing style after a fan-created impersonation video went viral.
The clip, which has been ‘liked’ by 2.6 million viewers since it dropped on TikTok earlier this month, features internet personality Joey Morof mimicking the Wolverine actor.
Captioned ‘If Hugh Jackman was in Sing’, Morof warbles lyrics from the Beatles tune Golden Slumbers, which was featured in the 2016 animated musical.
Over 8,000 fans have commented on the post, with many taking the opportunity to make fun of the Australian-born Hollywood star.
‘Had to watch Hugh Jackman singing and you didn’t exaggerate even a little,’ posted one viewer.
‘I’m so glad u commented this cuz now I don’t have to watch Hugh Jackman singing,’ added another.

A third user said: ‘Maybe Hugh Jackman s***s at singing.’
Still, some viewers defended Hugh’s musical stylings.
‘There’s a difference between you not liking him and him being actually good,’ one said on the thread.
‘He has good sound and technique, you just don’t like him personally. Not a bad singer.’
Morof replied: ‘No, I think he’s a good actor and probably a good person (I don’t know him personally), I just have an opinion and ears, and I don’t think his singing is the best.Â
‘My comment was a joke. I can care less for the guy.’
Another TikTok user also rushed to the defence of Hugh’s talent, and included a video from the star’s recent one-man show in New York.
She added in the caption: ‘When your dream of watching Hugh Jackman live is finally coming true, but now all you can think of is the TikTok guys who impersonate him.’

She also took aim at Morof, who has acquired a massive following after creating 148 videos mocking the X-Man star’s singing style.
‘Hugh is very talented to me,’ she told Morof.
‘THIS IS NOT A HATE POST. No room for hateful comments to the man who just gave me the best weekend of my entire life!’
However, her well-meaning response backfired, with many fans taking aim at Jackman’s singing.
‘Why is he impersonating Joey [Morof]?’ one commented on Hugh’s performance in the post.
Another added: ‘[Joey] was right all along.’Â
It comes after Hugh is set to wrap up his one-man show ‘To New York with Love’ at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan next month.
