Hugh Jackman couldn’t hide his joy on Thursday when he was reunited with his close friend Gina Chick in Sydney’s Bondi Beach.
The Wolverine star, 56, shared a fun day out with Alone Australia winner Gina, 52, and embraced her during their cheerful catch-up.
The pair’s friendship dates back to the late 80s, when they both studied at the University of Technology Sydney.
Hugh cut a casual figure during the outing in a fitted blue shirt and black shorts which he styled with a matching baseball cap.
Hugh, who lives in New York but is back Down Under for Christmas, completed his look with slick aviator sunglasses and beamed from ear-to-ear as he shared a big hug with Gina.
Meanwhile, Gina wore a washed-out oversized dress which she paired with a breezy white shawl draped across her shoulders.

Sutton confirmed her engagement to Griffin in 2013 and the pair said ‘I do’ in a private ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, in October 2014, before going their separate ways earlier this year.
Sutton shares a daughter Emily, seven, with her screenwriter ex-husband, 53. The couple adopted her in 2017.
Meanwhile, Wolverine star Hugh is currently in Australia with his two children Oscar, 24, and Ava, 19 – who he shares with his ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
It is not known whether Deb is joining Hugh and her family Down Under for the Christmas holidays, or if she is remaining in the United States.
Hugh was reportedly planning to introduce his rumoured new partner Sutton to his and Deb’s children Oscar and Ava over the festive period.
However, Deb was allegedly ‘not keen on the idea’ with a source claiming that she did not want a ‘blended’ family Christmas.
‘It’s a delicate balancing act and he feels like if anyone is going to spend less time with the kids this year, it’s him,’ they added.

In September 2023, Hugh shocked fans when he filed for divorce from Deb after almost three decades of marriage.
‘We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,’ the couple said in a joint statement at the time.
‘Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.’
Months later, rumours began to swirl that Hugh and Broadway star Sutton, 49, had grown close, with insiders telling PageSix that they are now ‘in love’.
‘They are 100 percent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,’ an insider told the publication.
‘They are still together. They go out of their way to hide it, but it’s common knowledge.’
Another insider claimed Hugh and Sutton are determined to make their relationship work and are keeping things low-key at the moment.
Hugh and Sutton took on the roles of Harold Hill and Marian Paroo in The Music Man, which ran from February 2022 to January 2023 at the Winter Garden Theatre in Manhattan.
