Huge shake-up sees Sophie Monk potentially replacing Hamish Blake on Lego Masters Australia as he prepares for an exciting new hosting job

Sophie Monk may reportedly replace Hamish Blake as the host of Lego Masters Australia as he is said to be considering an exciting new opportunity.

Comedian Hamish, 42, has been helming the LEGO building competition ever since its 2018 launch, and has become a firm fan favourite.

However, it has been claimed that Hamish is considering moving on in a huge shake-up and is now being considered by Channel Nine for a brand new quiz show.

Nine have reportedly secured the Aussie rights for US quiz show The Floor, hosted stateside by Rob Lowe, and are said to be lining up Hamish to front the series.

Love Island host Sophie, 44, could step in to replace Hamish as the host of hit show Lego Masters if he secures the exciting new hosting gig, according to Woman’s Day.

An insider told the publication: ‘Sophie Monk is in prime position to front Lego – they used her a lot more this year and many believe it was a ploy to see how she would go without Hamish driving it.

‘Hamish has made it clear that if they want him to host The Floor he will not consider taking on two big shows – he wouldn’t do that to his young family.’

Hamish shares two children – a son Sonny, 10, and a daughter Rudy, seven – with his wife Zoë Foster, 42.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine and Sophie and Hamish’s representatives for comment.

Sophie has made a string of appearances on the 2024 series of Lego Masters as a special guest, offering the teams advice and assisting host Hamish.

Sophie is a big fan of Lego herself and even told a recent issue of Woman’s Day that while expensive, her hobby is fruitful.

‘Buying Lego is actually an investment because they sell for crazy amounts, so it’s one of my better financial decisions, I think,’ she said.

She explained how building Lego sets helps her in coping with her ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) symptoms.

‘It is because it keeps you busy with your hands and because you’re creating a little world – you can really focus,’ she added.
