Another insider told DailyMail.com that Megan grew tired of their ‘high-school relationship’ which was characterized by ‘never-ending’ drama.
They added that MGK ‘is trying to get back on track with her.’

In November, Sharna congratulated Megan after she reposted the actress’ pregnancy announcement
The baby will be MGK’s second child. He is also the father to daughter Casie Colson Baker, 15, with his ex-girlfriend, Emma Cannon.
Megan and MGK have had a rocky relationship since finding love in 2020, with the pair getting engaged in January 2022 – though it was called off for a short spell.
Their time together was marred by one off-the-wall admission of love after another.
When MGK proposed, Megan told fans on Instagram that they ‘drank each other’s blood’ to celebrate the momentous occasion, which took place in Puerto Rico.
He later revealed that the $340 engagement ring he used to pop the question was ‘actually thorns,’ telling Vogue: ‘If she tries to take it off, it hurts. Love is pain!’
Megan debuted her baby bump in an edgy shoot on Instagram in which she was covered in black paint and cradling her stomach.
The post was captioned: ‘nothing is ever really lost. welcome back.’
The announcement was soundtracked to the MGK song Last November, a track about the miscarriage she previously suffered with the musician.
Sharna shared the post with a caption that read: ‘Welcome little one, we are all so excited to meet you (heart emoji) Congratulations Mama x.’
Brian and Megan have come a long way since their divorce. In 2020, she called him out on Instagram for posting a photo of their son Journey, claiming he shared the image in an attempt to paint her as an absent parent.
She wrote: ‘Why does Journey have to be in this picture? It’s not hard to crop them out. Or choose photos that they aren’t in. I had a great Halloween with them yesterday, and yet notice how absent they are from my social media.
‘I know you love your kids. But I don’t know why you can’t stop using them to posture via Instagram. You’re so intoxicated with feeding the pervasive narrative that I’m an absent mother, and you are the perennial, eternally dedicated dad of the year.
‘You have them half of the time. Congratulations you truly are a remarkable human! Why do you need the internet to echo back to you what should be inexhaustibly evident in the way your children love you?’
Brian deleted the photo and later reposted it with Journey cropped out.
