How history is repeating itself for Sammy Winward and estranged daughter Mia – as former OnlyFans star, 20, announces pregnancy after quitting X-rated site

Sammy Winward’s 20-year-old daughter Mia is set to welcome her first child, nearly two decades after the Emmerdale star announced her teen pregnancy.

Just like her mother, who was 19 when she fell pregnant, Mia announced the news that she is due to become a young mum with her hunky DJ boyfriend Adam Reeves in an interview on Wednesday.

But despite history repeating itself, Mia heartbreakingly revealed she hasn’t told her parents.

What is meant to be a joyous occasion of telling those closest to you, Mia admitted it has felt ‘bittersweet’ due to her family estrangement.

Mia is still not on talking terms with her lookalike mother, 40, or ex footballer father, David Dunnn, 46, due to their upset over her OnlyFans career.

But she remains hopeful her baby news and choice to quit modelling will bring the family back closer.

Mia now lives a wholesome life in the Lake District with the ‘multi-talented’ father of her unborn child, who she has been with for one year. 

While she had originally kept the identity of her baby’s father hidden, it’s since emerged he is DJ Adam, after he shared loved-up snaps with her during their trip to Mexico.

A post from January 1 also included a nod to Mia’s impending baby news, as it featured a snap of sweet personalised socks with the words ‘Mommy, Daddy and Mini’ embroidered on the side. 

In a sign of hope, Mia admitted she wishes she could have special moments with her mother and would love to go shopping for baby clothes with her.

Mia told The Sun: ‘There’s a lot to forgive and that process hasn’t even started yet,’ but she is ready to apologise, as long as her parents do too.

She now admits she does have a good mum and dad, they made her who she is and admits she made some bad decisions.

Her words are in stark contrast to last June, when Mia made the bombshell claim she was ’emotionally neglected’ by her mother, after being ‘cut off’ by her parents. 

The mum-to-be once claimed that she felt ‘lonely and controlled’ during her childhood and would sometimes only see her mother Sammy for ’10 minutes a day’ due to her filming schedule on Emmerdale.

She said: ‘I was raised by a 19-year-old soap star… I may have been spoiled materially, but I was definitely neglected emotionally.

‘I often felt lonely, picked on and controlled – about what I wore, what I said in public and most of all unsupported.

‘At times her choices – like boyfriends – left me feeling scared and sometimes it felt like too much pressure was placed on my shoulders.’

She added that her parents split when she was young, and she met many of Sammy’s later partners, noting one would ‘yell at her’ when she was just four years old.

Mia went onto reveal that when she turned 16 she had enough of being ‘controlled’ by her mother, and so decided to move in with her dad, despite being estranged from him for many years.

Mia joined the adult content site in 2024, angering both her mother and father.

At the time she viewed her mother’s reaction to her OnlyFans career as hypocritical given she herself posed for lads magazines during her soap heyday.

She said: ‘I just think how, how can you not be accepting? You were younger than me when you stripped off and now you’ve completely blocked me out of your life.’

Mia also claimed her father called her a ‘w***e’ and slammed the phone down on her when she attempted to reconnect with him.
