Tom Brady has ‘gone through all the emotions’ following his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen’s pregnancy but is ultimately ‘happy’ that she has welcomed a healthy baby, an insider has claimed.
It was revealed on Wednesday that Gisele, 44, had given birth to her first child with boyfriend Joaquim Valente, 37, two years after she split from the retired quarterback following 13 years of marriage.
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, a source close to Tom – who shares children Vivian Lake, 11, and Benjamin Rein, 15, with his ex – revealed that he has managed to ‘compartmentalize’ her starting a new family, even though it has been tough.
They also added that he wishes their children can become the ‘best of friends’ in the future.
They said: ‘This is one of Tom’s biggest weeks of his life professionally and having Gisele giving birth during this week, if it was a surprise would have been an issue, but he knew when she was due, and he is ok with it.
‘He was able to compartmentalize everything once she told him she was pregnant.’

‘He went through it, through the emotions all in his mind, and he is now at a place that he is happy that she is healthy, the baby is healthy, and everyone is doing fine.
‘He isn’t inconsolable, he doesn’t feel weird. He has gone through it, moved on from it and he isn’t going to make an issue about it.
‘No one deserves that because she is a great mother, they didn’t work out, but he isn’t going to make her life hell for starting a new family because at some point he is going to date again.
‘He is ok with her and happy that all went well, and he hopes that all the children are the best of friends in the future.’
The former NFL quarterback will make his Super Bowl broadcaster debut on Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
He signed a 10-year, $375m contract with Fox in May 2022, while still playing for Tampa Bay. He has faced scrutiny in the new role, with all eyes on him as he gears up to call his first Super Bowl.
Along with Benjamin and Vivian, Tom is also father to son, Jack, 17, whom he shares with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Gisele was first linked to her new man Joaquim in June 2023, one year after her divorce from part Las Vegas Raiders owner Tom following 13 years of marriage.
Her pregnancy news was revealed in October, leaving Tom ‘stunned’ by the revelation.
One month later, Tom notably shared a cryptic quote about ‘failing’ and ‘coming short’ in the wake of the pregnancy bombshell.

The quote was from former President Theodore Roosevelt and was seen on a card that the NFL star held up in a social media photo.
During the 2024 Fortune Global Forum in New York City, Tom also admitted that he ‘screwed up a lot as a parent.’
A source recently told DailyMail.com that Tom has been struggling to date as he moves on from the ‘sting’ of Gisele’s new romance.
They said: ‘At first, everything stings. Her getting pregnant, her hanging out with Joaquim, her moving on.
‘But then he snaps out of it and remains busy, knows that his life is pretty good and to worry about things he can’t control is a waste of time.’
The insider added: ‘He could complain but what’s the point. He got the best out of the relationship with Gisele until it fell apart, now it’s not his problem anymore. He will be fine.’

Tom was pictured in New Orleans on Thursday – the first time he’d been seen since the news of Gisele’s birth.
He was spotted filming a Super Bowl segment with Lady Gaga, Jerry Jones, Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson and a number of other sports personalities.
According to an eyewitness, the group appeared to be filming a special tribute to the victims of the New Year’s Eve vehicle attack that killed at least 14 people on Bourbon Street.
During his appearance, Tom wore a gray Los Angeles Fire Department t-shirt and cheered on Gaga from the audience after she was done performing.
He appeared in high spirits as he exchanged a laugh with other members in the crowd before bundling up in a long black wind breaker.
