Horror Icon Enjoys Spooky Season Stroll as Leatherface’s Brother

A horror icon who famously portrayed Leatherface’s brother in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 was looking a far cry from his villainous character.

This star was spotted enjoying a relaxed stroll through the Los Angeles county suburb of Valencia with his wife and their dogs on Tuesday.

This actor’s impressive resume boasts a number of cult horror films, with roles in The Devil’s Rejects, House of 1000 Corpses, Carnivàle, and Repo! The Genetic Opera.

He is likely best known for portraying Chop Top, the sibling to the chainsaw-wielding cannibal, in 1986’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2.

In more recent years, he starred opposite Nicolas Cage in Prisoners of the Ghostland.

Can you guess who this star is?

If you guessed Bill Moseley, you’re right!

In a major contrast from his horror personas, this actor rocked a blue crewneck sweatshirt, baseball hat, and khakis.

He was spotted with his spouse Lucinda Jenney, who looked after one dog while he reigned in two others.

Moseley, 73, was a far cry from his terrifying characters as he stepped out for a moment of fresh air with his family.

The five made their way down the street, with Moseley and Jenney bundled up for the brisk outing.

With his casual attire, unsuspecting passerby would likely be completely unaware they were passing by the man who has portrayed numerous terrifying characters.

It’s a genre Moseley truly enjoys working in, despite suspicions about being typecast.

‘It’s a load of fun to do that. But I think there’s a pigeonholing. I don’t think I’m going to be the lead in any romantic comedies anytime soon. Although I’d certainly like to try,’ he told Entertainment Weekly in 2012.

Moseley’s IMDb extends back to 1982, with his first-ever credited role in the drama Endangered Species, a film about an investigation into unusual cattle mutilations in rural Colorado.

He landed the role of Chop-Top just a few years later and has remained in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre family ever since, portraying multiple characters.

He played Drayton ‘The Cook’ Sawyer in 2013’s Texas Chainsaw 3-D, a role that was previously inhabited by the late James Nash Siedow.

It’s a film series that Moseley and others can’t help but notice is filmed during particularly hot seasons.

So stifling, indeed, Moseley recounted how his shirt was completely soaked through with sweat while filming Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3-D.

I was down there for a good week in Shreveport right in the middle of summer. I know what you’re talking about in terms of a hot set,’ he told EW.

‘I was wearing, like, a fat shirt. It was basically a T-shirt stuffed with a bunch of cotton because they thought that the Cook, the Jim Siedow character, has a paunch. Which really I don’t think he did.

‘I think he just had an awkward posture. Anyway, they had me wearing this T-shirt with a bunch of cotton padding in it and it really ended up kind of [soaking up] all my sweat. So by the end of the day my stuffed shirt weighed a good 20 pounds. [Laughs].’

The weather was so hot that Moseley was even somewhat envious of the chickens on set, who were inside ‘air-conditioned cases’ with an ASPCA officer ensuring they were being taken care of.

‘I was sweating and nobody was even offering me a bottle of water. I was just looking, and thinking, “I’d be much better off if I was a chicken on this set!”’
