A New Zealand couple got the surprise of a lifetime when a Hollywood star crashed their Hobbit-themed wedding.
Sharik and Jessica Burgess-Stride tied the knot at the Hobbiton movie set in Waika, in the upper North Island of NZ, on Monday.
They were left shocked when actor Elijah Wood surprised them as they exchanged their vows at the altar.
In a video posted to social media, Sharik exclaimed, ‘Oh my God!’ as Elijah appeared at the ceremony.
The actor was dressed casually in blue jeans and a black jacket as he briefly chatted to the newlyweds.
He then posed for photos with the couple as guests clapped with excitement.

‘This is amazing, and everyone is dressed as hobbits,’ Elijah said.
The couple’s celebrant was also dressed up for the occasion.
Sharik told the Waikato Herald, the couple were shocked when they realised the Hollywood star had shown up to the wedding.
‘We were just finishing the signing of the paperwork when all of a sudden Elijah Wood started to walk down the aisle,’ he said.
‘At first I thought, “Nah that’s not him” – then, “Oh sh**, it is him”.’
‘He shook our hands and said congratulations, and stuck around for a few photos before he left on a tour – he was there with a group of people.’
Sharik has been a fan of the Lord of The Rings and Hobbit since he was a child and has collected several pieces of memorabilia over the years.
He has visited the set five times over the years.
