Hilary Duff brought the eldest of her four children – 12-year-old son Luca Cruz Comrie – to the opening of Broadway play Cult of Love, which was held at the Hayes Theater in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday.
The 37-year-old former Disney Channel star has never acted in a Broadway play, but her elusive big sister Haylie Duff once played Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray at the Neil Simon Theatre back in 2006.
Hilary slipped her petite 5ft2in figure into a black T-shirt, grey pleated pants, black pumps and a matching leather duster selected by stylist Molly Dickson.
Duff – who wore her signature blonde locks down – darkened and brushed her brows up, and fully contoured her complexion to enjoy an evening of theatre.
It’s been a year since the Texan-born blonde wrote a children’s book called My Little Sweet Boy all about raising little Luca.
Hilary welcomed the seventh grader during her six-year marriage to Mike Comrie, which ended in 2016.

The Beverly Hills couple might have split for six months in 2017, but they will happily celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary on December 21.

‘Whenever there’s a need in the house, he acts like a really good assistant because he knows me,’ Duff told Us Weekly on Tuesday.
‘I think sometimes some of the kids’ needs don’t get met right away. That’s actually been really great for our house as a learning experience to just be like, “You have to wait,” or, “That’s not going to happen today,” or, “Figure it out.”
‘It’s actually taken me having four kids to realize that I can’t control everybody’s happiness and I can’t be constantly the cruise director of everything.’
The 37-year-old Winnetka Bowling League frontman’s band – including Kris Mazzarisi on drums and Sam Beresford on keys – is scheduled to serve opening act duties for Dawes this Friday at Stable Hall in San Antonio, TX.
