Co-written by one Andy Symonds, the book drew a withering condemnation from Duff, who slammed the 'disgusting' project as an 'uninformed, heartless, money grab' . 

Now Duff has shared the story of the phone call she later had with a medium who told her Carter was 'showing up for you' from beyond the grave, on an episode of Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers' podcast Las Culturistas.

She noted she was still friends with Carter's twin sister Angel, whose children 'go to the same school' as Duff's children. 'She's a lovely literal angel of a person. We're very close. We talk about Aaron often.'

Duff has a propensity to 'dabble' in the world of psychics, though she clarified: 'I'm not living by it firmly. I'm just like: "Let's have fun with this."'
