Helena Christensen has celebrated a major family milestone as her nephew, model turned Premier League footballer Oliver Sonne revealed he is expecting his first child with his fiancée, Isabella Taulund.
Oliver, 24, who lives in the UK and plays for Burnley FC, shared the news on Instagram this week with a series of black-and-white photos showing Danish content creator Isabella’s growing bump. ‘New to the crew’, he captioned it.
Helena, 56, was delighted to learn she is becoming a great-aunt. She commented: ‘Love you and your little cuddle bug so much’ followed by multi-coloured heart emojis.
Oliver is the son of Helena’s younger sister, Anita Christensen, and has Peruvian heritage through his grandmother, Helena’s mother, Elsa.
Before pursuing football full-time, Oliver worked in fashion, modelling for Armani, Gucci and Calvin Klein and starring on the cover of Vogue Hommes.
The announcement of his girlfriend’s pregnancy was met with tens of thousands of likes and congratulatory messages from friends and fans, with Burnley’s official account replying with a purple heart emoji.

After spells at several Danish clubs including HB Koge and Silkeborg, Oliver signed with Burnley FC in late 2024 and made his debut for them in the FA Cup in January this year.
His career hit new heights this summer when he was named to Peru’s Copa America squad – a rare case of a Danish-born player representing the South American nation.
The heartwarming news comes as a welcome moment of joy for Helena and her family following a period of turmoil for the supermodel’s only child, Mingus Reedus.
In August, Mingus, 26 – Helena’s son with The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus – was charged in New York with multiple counts including assault and harassment after an alleged domestic dispute.
The young model, who had followed in his mother’s footsteps on the runway, pleaded not guilty and was recently seen in Manhattan holding hands with a mystery woman.
The nepo baby reportedly struck a woman in the leg, choked her, and slammed her into the ground, according to the New York Post.
TMZ has since reported that woman is seeking a court-ordered protection against Mingus.
The outlet reviewed a complaint that states the anonymous woman detailed to police that Mingus used ‘both of his hands to apply pressure to her neck by forcefully squeezing it.’

According to prosecutors he also hit her right leg using a closed fist before throwing her to the ground with both hands, resulting in bruising, redness and ‘substantial’ pain.
Per police, it was Mingus who made a 911 call around 8:40 a.m. on Saturday to report a woman in an apartment on West 16th Street who was allegedly taking pills and threatening to kill herself.
When officers arrived on the scene, the woman accused Mingus of assaulting her.
Police arrested him and the woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she was determined to be in stable condition.
Photos obtained by the Post showed the model being led out of the building by police and placed into a cruiser.
Hours later, he left the 10th precinct with a grin on his face before officers escorted him into a waiting police vehicle.

As he briefly stepped out in public, a reporter asked why Mingus called the police, to which he replied, ‘I didn’t.’
And when asked by the reporter to ‘tell us what really happened,’ he reportedly smiled and laughed before responding, ‘No.’
Per the Post’s account, Mingus said the altercation was ‘a misunderstanding’ before police shut him inside the car.
A woman who claimed to be his girlfriend also described the incident as a ‘misunderstanding.’
Helena, one of the original 1990s supermodels alongside Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell, is now watching as her son and nephew forge very different paths in life.
