Helen Flanagan Fights Back Against Lip Mockery

Helen Flanagan has hit back at a cruel troll who commented on her plump lips as she shared a video on her Instagram in response.

The former Coronation Street actress, 33, who is currently filming Celebs Go Dating, gave her followers an insight into how she was feeling about the comment.

Helen replied to a critic who told her to ‘stop sticking her lips out’ in all of her photographs, as she told them that women should be ‘uplifiting’ each other.

In the original post about her hair extensions, Helen wrote: ‘Can’t wait to get my Extentions back in tomorrow ‘Had a break for two weeks of them not in so I can do my hair ups, but feel so much better with my Extentions in and so much more confident x

‘My hair is so thin, I so wish I had naturally thick hair x I don’t know if having the kids so close together made my hair worse or if I get stressed x.’

The actress, 33, who is currently filming Celebs Go Dating gave her followers an insight into how she was feeling and what she was up to over the next few days

But she was forced to respond when one person felt the need to ask: ‘I Like following you and your page, i just wonder why you have go constantly stick your lips out non-stop. You are pretty and great mum, but every picture and post is you with your mouth open showing your pout’.

Commenting underneath the message, Helen replied: ‘I’ve naturally got big lips and that’s just my face x it shouldn’t bother you that much x women should uplift each other x’ 

‘no youve blown up your lips with fillers love nothing natural there’ another troll responded.

Helen added: ‘I’ve had the smallest bit in my top lip to even out as my bottom lip is big. Why say it in such a catty way? What is wrong with women having lip filler anyway?’

The mum of three has been open about her ‘tweakments’ and cosmetic surgery in the past.

Last year she showed off the results of a boob job and gave her followers a candid insight into the surgery where she revealed that she has ‘really got her confidence back’ since the procedure. 

In a lengthy post, Helen explained: ‘I was quite open here on Instagram in January about my recent boob job. This was something I wanted to do for a really long time and by doing so I’ve really got my confidence back. 

‘I breastfed in total for three years. Matilda I fed for eight months. Delilah I fed for 13 months. Charlie I fed for 14 months. As soon as I finished my breastfeeding journey with Charlie I wanted to get them done pretty much straight away. 

But she was forced to respond when one rude person felt the need to as why she has to ‘constantly stick your lips out and pout’

Commenting underneath the message, Helen replied reminding the follower that ‘women should uplift each other’

After posting the video the mum of three received a number of negative comments but made sure she replied as she has always been open about her ‘tweakments’ and cosmetic surgery

‘I felt like you could tie them in a bow. I had to wait though for six months after feeding and then I went for it in January. I don’t regret one second of my breastfeeding journeys they were precious times.

‘I was a little bit nervous I was worried they were going to be too big for my frame but they are so perfect for me and so in proportion. 

‘I went with @pallmallcosmetics and couldn’t be happier with my results I love them I keep showing all my girlfriends. I am all for body confidence and I am all for empowering other women and supporting other women in their decisions that they decide to make. 

‘My recovery was amazing. I was back to my feet before I knew it I think it’s because I was 50/50 under and over the muscle. 

‘I went for 340cc with the lovely Mr Hussain. I wanted super natural results and that’s what I got and just for them to be pert again. It was a good start of the year for me as 

‘I want to feel good this summer. I’ve done all the baby stage and it’s nice to be now coming to a place where I can work on myself. Amazing experience with @pallmallcosmetics I did this for me ( discount with social media)’

She added: ‘The first video is the morning before my operation in early January and the second video is me this morning.’

Helen explained: ‘This was something I wanted to do for a really long time and by doing so I’ve really got my confidence back’

The actress looked stunning earlier this week in a white summer dress as she arrived at the Celebs Go Dating agency in London

Helen, who split from fiancé Scott Sinclair in October 2022, is hoping to find love on the E4 show.

She is joined by Love Island’s Chris Taylor and Googlebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb who are also seeking the advice of dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson.

The cast will be completed by Lauryn Goodman, Ella Morgan, Jamelia and Tristan Phipps. 

The upcoming series, which will air later this year, will follow the single stars as they navigate the dating world.
