Cover girl Paulina Porizkova has broken down in tears over the death of her close friend of five years Mistie Savage-McGuire to cancer.
On Thursday the Vogue supermodel took to Instagram to share her heartbreak over the recent loss.
She was seen makeup free in a mint green floral-print robe while at home as she seemed to try to process the bad news.
Mistie had been battling stage four colorectal cancer which moved from her colon to her liver then to her lungs. She also suffered from heart failure which required her to get a pacemaker.
‘A dear friend, Mistie Dawn Savage Maguire passed peacefully in her home with her husband by her side,’ began the Anna actress.
‘Cancer doesn’t really care how much of a warrior you are,’ said the catwalk expert.

Her husband Louis first shared the sad news on Instagram on Wednesday evening.
‘Hello family and friends. HBSP here. I feared this day would come and it has arrived,’ he began his post alongside a photo where he was hugging Mistie.
‘Mistie passed away this morning here at home after a brave and courageous battle against cancer. She passed in peace and without pain.
‘She fought with style and grace, all peppered with a lot of gallows humor.
‘Thank you @paulinaporizkov for showcasing Mistie all the while becoming her best friend. With you, Mistie’s personality, bravery and overall presence reached countless people in our social media driven world.
‘The lives she has changed, impacted, and touched is innumerable. I hate what’s happened, but I love the legacy that Mistie leaves behind. Thank you all for your love and support for Mistie, me, and our family.
