Long-running 2Day FM Sydney show, Mike E & Emma, has been axed after nearly two decades on the air.
Co-presenter Emma Chow confirmed the heartbreaking news on Instagram on Monday in a sad statement.
‘Some bittersweet news to tell you today. After almost 14 years, the Mike E and Emma journey has come to an end,’ Chow began.
Chow went on to thank her loyal listeners for their many years of support.
‘We were babies when we first started at The Edge, and I am so incredibly grateful for and proud of every single second we did of radio together,’ she added.
‘Most of all, thank YOU for listening and growing up with us.’

Chow then confirmed her working relationship with her co-star Mike Etheridge was over.
‘You’ll see us doing our own thing from now on. We are still great mates and only wish the best for each other. 2025 is a new chapter, more to come soon,’ she said.
Chow did not reveal the reasons behind their show ending and Etheridge has not released a statement of his own.
It follows reports that the Hit Network has been taking major steps to fight KIIS FM’s ratings giant, The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
The Hit Network is also home to Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little’s hugely popular drive show, and The Kyle and Jackie O’s rival show Fifi, Fev and Nick.
In August, Hit Network has announced a massive shakeup with some of their talent amid a bloody breakfast ratings war with KIIS FM.
The commercial radio network revealed the Mike E & Emma show would be moved out of their Sydney breakfast slot on 104.1 2DayFM as it battled against KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O show.
From August 26, the show, took up residence Monday to Thursday in the national night’s time slot and the national Breakfast shift on the weekends.

‘We’re pumped to bring the cheekiness of Mike E & Emma to national Nights during the week and then wake up Australia for weekend Breakfast.
‘We can’t wait to have more hilarious conversations with our ride or die listeners from all over the country!’
Head of Hit Metro Content Amanda Lee added the radio duo ‘have been loved’ in Sydney for well over a decade, and it was time for the pair to go national.
‘It’s exciting to now have the opportunity for the rest of the country to fall in love with them,’ she said.
