Hayley Tamaddon has revealed she was told she’d ‘never have kids’ before she welcomed her son Jasper at the of 43.
The soap star, 48, who is known for her roles in ITV shows Emmerdale and Coronation Street, raises the five-year-old as a singer mother.
It comes after she confirmed her spit from fiancé Adrian in 2022, who she got engaged to just weeks after they revealed they were expecting their first child.
Hayley is regularly praised by fans for showing a ‘real side’ to her parenting on social media as she raises Jasper.
The actress said: ‘I show a real side, because it’s lacking on social media.
‘I had Jasper at 43, after being told I’d probably never have children, and I’ve been a single mum for most of it.’

She added to The Mirror: ‘I only ever saw ‘perfect’ mums who were size 6 a few weeks after giving birth, with a full face of make-up.’
Despite splitting from her estate agent fiancé three years ago, Hayley insists a new love interest is not on her radar.
She added: ‘I’m single and that’s not going to change. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.
‘Jasper is my world. He’s everything to me and will always come before anyone else.’
Hayley announced her breakup in a lengthy post on Mother’s Day, writing: ‘This Mother’s Day is different for me, as I’m now a single mum. Mine and jaspers life has been turned upside down over the past few months.. but I realise the best thing to come out of this is jasper.
‘For he is all I need.. and all I’ve ever wanted. He makes me so happy! I never set out to be a single parent.. but I DID set out to be the best mum I could be, and that hasn’t changed.
‘I’m so lucky I get to be his mummy. And I’m very proud of myself for overcoming the many obstacles I’ve faced since he was born.
‘To any other single mamas out there.. I salute you. Have the most wonderful day!’

Hayley was previously linked to former Hollyoaks star Joe Tracini – the son of high-pitched comedian Joe Pasquale – in 2015, as well as comedian Marcus Bridgstocke.
It was reported by The Daily Star in 2013 that Marcus left his wife to be with Hayley, but the couple allegedly split three years later.
The Dancing On Ice champion was also engaged to dancer Darren Charles, but called off their wedding in 2010 when she discovered he had cheated on her.
Hayley wowed viewers when she competed on Dancing On Ice in 2010 alongside pro skater and childhood friend Daniel Whiston.
After impressing with her show-stopping Jai Ho met Gary Lucy head-to-head in the Balero final, before being crowned champion with 80% of the vote.
