Has Sean Bean Found His Mrs. Right After Four Marriages? How He Met ‘Exuberant’ Wife Ashley Moore in a Camden Pub.

One could be permitted a dismissive eye-roll as handsome groom Sean Bean and his beaming wife, resplendent in an Alice Temperley gown, posed for a tasteful monochrome photo moments after their intimate wedding ceremony.

With the rolling Dorset countryside providing a suitably romantic backdrop, just 40 close friends and family members had attended as the celebrated actor exchanged vows with Ashley Moore at West Axnoller Farm in 2017.

It could’ve been a scene straight out of Four Weddings And A Funeral, only this was Bean’s fifth, and for the sake of domestic stability he would have been forgiven for hoping it was the last.

A spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘It was predominantly close family and friends; Anna Friel was there, who’s obviously starring with Sean in Broken at the moment.

‘Anna’s daughter Gracie was a bridesmaid and sung them a song, which was Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis, and she played that on the guitar as Ashley walked down the aisle. There probably weren’t more than forty people there.

‘He’s super happy , I’ve never seen him in so in love and committed and happy with Ashley. They’re very sweet together.’

The Sheffield born star, 66, originally met Moore – aged 40 and 26 years his junior – at his favoured watering hole, The Cobden Arms in Camden, some five years earlier.

‘She was in there with friends and I came in with my friend and it was just a chance meeting,” he told The Times of that first meeting with his wife, an American actress and trained dancer who once starred in Grange Hill.

‘I used to go in there now and again, but it was the first time she’d ever been in. We kind of hit it off. She’s full of life. Exuberant. Very positive energy.’

The couple were engaged in 2014 – familiar territory for Bean, of course, whose four previous attempts at marriage had been brutally short lived.

Luckily for the actor, his new fiancée was mercifully sympathetic, understanding even, when told of a convoluted marital history that even he admits is excessive.

‘When I look back myself I’m like, ‘F***ing hell, that’s quite a few marriages there,”‘ he said.

‘I’ve obviously experienced more marriages than most people… I suppose there is that romantic in me, otherwise I wouldn’t keep doing it.

‘But I don’t regret anything. I’d live it all again.’

Their marriage lasted seven years and soon after their split, the star confirmed he was dating actress Abigail Cruttenden, who he met on the set of ITV series Sharpe.

It was third time lucky for Bean, who married Cruttenden in November 1997. Their daughter Evie was born the following year; however, they would separate when the child was just a few months old.

The pair met five years previously in 2003 when she was managing the bar at a West End theatre where Bean was playing Macbeth.

They shared a house in Belsize Park, north London, but are thought to have separated during the first year of their marriage before reuniting. Two years later they divorced, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.

In 2011 the actor said that he had finally given up on marriage, claiming he preferred spending his time gardening.

He told Croatian magazine Gloria: ‘Of course I believe in love despite four divorces. There is nobody who doesn’t believe in love.

‘But marriage – that fits some people but obviously not me.’

Speaking to the Daily Mail’s Girl About Town in 2016, the Game Of Thrones star admitted he was hesitant about the prospect of exchanging vows after four failed marriages.

But his attitude soon changed after meeting Moore, who was by his side as he promoted new TV show Robin Hood in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening.

‘I wasn’t planning on getting married again, but then I wasn’t planning on meeting someone as amazing as Ashley,’ he told the Daily Mail’s Girl About Town.

‘I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.’
