American actor Harry Johnson has died at the age of 81 after a long illness.
His four-decade career saw him star in the likes of Battlestar Galactica and Law & Order as well as the famous Harry & Louise adverts.
Johnson’s wife Christine confirmed his passing to Deadline, revealing he died on January 2 in Los Angeles after a long illness, with his wife Christiane confirming the news to Deadline.
Born on December 27, 1942, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Johnson began his career in 1978 on Battlestar Galactica and went on to star in a slew of TV series including M*A*S*H, Quincy M.E., The Incredible Hulk and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
He also worked as an ADR voice actor and on multiple Need for Speed video games.

Johnson’s wife told Deadline that the actor loved to sail and was renowned with colleagues for his wit and habit of bringing a brightness to sets, making work a pleasure.
Along with Christiane, his wife of 15 years, Johnson is survived by his stepchildren Oliver and Penelope.
