Hannah Spearritt said she is ‘glad to be out in one piece’ after she suffered an injury hours before her Frozen-themed Dancing On Ice performance.
The S Club 7 star, 42, was voted off on Sunday’s Movie Week episode after a shock twist meant the couple with the lowest combined vote and judges score was sent home – and there was no skate off.
Hannah previously opened up about her autoimmune condition which ‘had a massive impact’ on the first few weeks of her skating training.
But the star faced a double blow as she revealed the dangers of skating as ‘something went wrong’ three hours before her performance on Sunday.
Appearing on This Morning following her DOI exit, Hannah said: ‘I’m glad I’m out of it in one piece, do you know what I mean?

‘I can watch it next Sunday on the couch. It was amazing to learn that skill.’
Hannah continued: ‘Yes it is completely dangerous. Anything can go wrong. I had something go wrong three hours before.
‘It wasn’t anything major but it just reminds you anything can go wrong at any time.’
She added that you really need to think about every move and make sure it goes right to avoid accidents.
Hannah was joined on the This Morning sofa by former Dancing On Ice professionals Matt Evers and Frankie Seaman.
On Sunday’s show, Hannah and her professional partner Andy Buchanan had scored just 20 out of a possible 40 points for their Frozen skate – where she played Elsa.
And following her elimination, an emotional Hannah said she was ‘disappointed’ to be leaving but commended her fellow contestants on the level being ‘so, so high’.
Her injury reveal comes as she opened up about struggling with her autoimmune condition and how it affected her training.
She told This Morning presenters Rylan and Rochelle Humes: ‘It had a massive impact at the start, especially.

‘I felt like I’ve only really come into my own in the last couple of weeks.’
But Hannah was determined to keep going and said she had noticed in a change over the last fortnight.
‘I’ve been solid and feeling good every day,’ she said. ‘There was a lot of ups and downs but the last two weeks have been solid.
‘I feel like I was about to get going, but I’m grateful to be able to exercise every day.’
Her partner Andy was very supportive of Hannah amid her health issues, and commended her for doing so well despite everything.
Talking about Andy, Hannah said: ‘Andy was fantastic. Obviously he’s done it for years. He was definitely the right partner for me. He was just amazing.’
Following her elimination, in a video posted to Instagram, Hannah turned to Andy and said: ‘The experience on a whole has been absolutely amazing and obviously being partnered with you has been so incredible.
‘You’ve been the best teacher and pushed me out of my comfort zone when I’ve needed to.’

Possibly in reference to Hannah’s health issues, Andy said in the video: ‘This is the hardest show on television and I’m just so proud of every week for you, you overcame so much. You should be really proud of yourself.’
Hannah continued: ‘Obviously I’m disappointed but the level was so, so high and I’m just excited to see the journey that everyone else is going to go on now.
‘And it’s just been such an amazing team, you know what it’s like. I just love Sundays, like, the transformation. I’m going to miss it.’
But some viewers were ‘fuming’ at the fact Hannah was sent home and not given an opportunity to prove herself in the skate off.
Commenting on Dancing On Ice’s Instagram video, one person wrote: ‘I am still fuming from the decision to arbitrarily scrap the skate off this week. Everyone deserves a chance to save themselves in the skate off.
‘Really sorry to lose them like this. It was a lovely performance.’
Another said: ‘It shouldn’t have been you both who went. Your skate was better than others and you were under marked.’
‘The wrong person sent home,’ a third agreed. ‘You should be very proud of yourself Hannah.’
