Halle Berry, 58, Embraces Aging in Sheer Lace Gown for Sultry Shoot

Halle Berry has admitted the unexpected reason why she is not afraid of ageing as she opened up about what is important to her in life as she nears 60.

The Hollywood actress, 58, claimed ‘women get defined by age more than men’ as she shared her opinion on getting older. 

She explained how she hopes when her looks fade, fans will finally focus solely on her career than her beauty.

Speaking to Marie Claire, the Cat Woman star said: ‘Age is just a number that they stick on us at birth. 

‘As women, we get defined by it way more than men do and sometimes it can debilitate us. It can trick us into thinking what we’re supposed to do.’

Discussing her stance on beauty, Halle, who looked sensational as she modelled a sexy black lace gown for the cover shoot, said having everybody look at her has ‘always been a hollow win’ because it has nothing to do with her career.

The former Bond Girl would rather focus on areas of her life that have greater value such as her family and career.  

She continued: ‘So when [my beauty] starts to go, maybe for the first time in my life, people will focus on the other aspects of me that I think are way more interesting.

‘The movies that I’ve been a part of, the acting accolades I’ve garnered over the years, my charity work. I do take ownership over those things that I’ve worked really hard at, and if somebody finds value in those things that lights me up.’

For the photo shoot, Halle made sure all eyes were on her as she slipped into a sheer black gown and stilettos. 

She later sent temperatures soaring as she went braless under an off the shoulder semi-sheer white sequinned dress which boasted a daring thigh high split. 

For her third look, Halle showed off her amazing figure in a bold gown which featured a unique white floral structured top and black skirt.

It comes after Halle claimed she has spent $200k trying to ‘work with’ ex Olivier Martinez on co-parenting their son Maceo, 10, in shock new court documents filed earlier this month.

The Oscar-winner married Olivier, 58, in 2013 – the same year they welcomed Maceo – and split in 2016. Their divorce was finalized seven years later in August 2023 – with the pair since embroiled in a bitter custody row.

In documents obtained by US Weekly Berry claims she has spent over $200,000 in legal fees including ‘voluntarily’ contributing $80,000 towards Olivier’s own legal expenses.

She claimed Olivier supports himself off her child support payments – so she ‘has to go to work’. She alleges that he objected to pay for a home visit with their therapist during Halle’s free time before changing his mind.

She claims Olivier ‘delayed’ court-stipulated co-parenting therapy ‘despite several follow-ups.’

She wrote in the documents: ‘I have done everything possible to work with Olivier, to communicate with him, and to engage him in the decision-making process regarding our son [Maceo] in an amicable way. Olivier has refused to co-parent and communicate with me in a child-centered way; he has been oppositional and unmovable on all major issues relating to Maceo.’

Text messages between the pair were also included in the documents with Halle writing to Olivier: ‘I feel very sorry that we are at odds. I had better hopes for us. I always hoped that we do better for Maceo and work together like we did before Van [Hunt- her partner]

‘It’s all has gone to s**t since then. We used to try to get along for maceos [sic] sake, now you don’t want to even try and I’ve tried Olivier… you know I have.

‘However, you just stay angry and I’m not sure why. We must let all this anger go and do better. Maceo deserves that. I’m tired of being called a lier [sic], I’m tired of fighting with you and I quit. If you want to keep this negativity going that’s on you, but I want no parts of it… we need to ban [sic] together now more than ever. However we face it we need to face it together not fighting. Just my opinion, but you will make your choice.’

Olivier responded: ‘The only way to work together is to work ur [sic] way. thats [sic] not working together. u [a]re [sic] playing dirty as you always did not putting maceos [sic] best interest first but karma is coming no worrys [sic].’
