Hailey Bieber shared a hilarious photo of herself struggling to sit down at the star-studded Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
Despite looking effortlessly glamorous in her Schiaparelli gown with a corset bodice and strapless bustier top, the Rhode founder, 28, came clean to her followers about the not-so-glamorous reality of wearing couture that’s just too tight to move in.
In one of the photos from her Instagram carousel, the model can be seen awkwardly lowering herself onto a couch, then freezing mid-motion in a ‘half-plank’ position, as her sculpted gown refused to bend.
While posing for a picture, she smirked knowingly at the camera, clearly in on the joke.
‘Always a beautiful night @academymuseum,’ she captioned the post, which also included several stunning portraits showing off her structured gown and posing alongside her longtime pal Kendall Jenner.
All eyes were on Bieber as she arrived to the event in her rich chocolate brown look, which featured crystal detailing at the hip.

The supermodel kept her accessories to a minimum apart from a sparkling bracelet and statement ring.
Her appearance comes just days after she addressed comparisons between her brand Rhode and Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty in a candid WSJ. Magazine interview.
‘I think there is space for everybody,’ Hailey said. ‘I don’t feel competitive with people that I’m not inspired by. It’s always annoying being pitted against other people. I didn’t ask for that.’
She continued: ‘When people want to see you a certain way and they’ve made up a story about you in their minds, it’s not up to you to change that. We’re both really finding our voices and walking authentically in what we actually want to be doing.’
Shortly after the piece was published, Gomez appeared to respond in a now-deleted Instagram Story, writing: ‘She can say what she wants, it doesn’t affect my life.’
The Only Murders in the Building star later urged her fans to ‘leave the girl alone’ and called for the drama to ‘all stop.’
While Hailey and Gomez have long denied any feud, fans continue to speculate about lingering tension stemming from Hailey’s marriage to Justin Bieber, who dated Gomez on and off for eight years before tying the knot with Hailey in 2018.
The pair appeared to publicly bury the hatchet in 2022 when they posed for a photo together at an event in Los Angeles, and in 2023 even followed each other on Instagram.

However, after months of quietly liking each other’s posts, they unfollowed each other in June 2025, reigniting online chatter about their relationship status.
The past year has marked a number of milestones for Hailey both personally and professionally.
In addition to celebrating her son’s first birthday, she sold her beauty brand, Rhode, to e.l.f. Beauty for $1 billion in May 2025.
As for what she plans to do with the money, Hailey told d WSJ. Magazine that most of it is going to her son, Jack Blues.
‘I want to preserve that for my son’s future. It’s an amount of money that I have not dealt with before, so I just want to be smart with it,’ Hailey said. ‘I would like to invest it wisely.’

The model confirmed that she was selling Rhode to e.l.f. Beauty after reaching an agreement with the cosmetics company.
Hailey – who is remaining with the company as the chief creative officer – said in a statement at the time: ‘From day one, my vision for Rhode has been to make essential skin care and hybrid make-up you can use every day.
‘Just three years into this journey, our partnership with e.l.f. Beauty marks an incredible opportunity to elevate and accelerate our ability to reach more of our community with even more innovative products and widen our distribution globally.’
Meanwhile, Tarang Amin, the CEO of e.l.f. Beauty, was impressed by Rhode’s growth in a relatively short period of time.
The e.l.f. Beauty boss admitted to being shocked by the sudden rise of the Rhode brand, explaining that the ‘level of disruption’ caught his attention.
He told CNBC in May: ‘I’ve been in the consumer space 34 years, and I’ve been blown away by seeing this brand over time. In less than three years, they’ve gone from zero to $212 million in net sales, direct-to-consumer only, with only ten products. I didn’t think that was possible.
‘So that level of disruption definitely caught our attention.’
