Gwen Stefani was stunned she beat out Reba McEntire on snagging country artist Jacquie Roar for her team on Tuesday’s two-hour episode of The Voice on NBC.
‘I would love to work with you,’ Gwen, 54, said. ‘I feel like I’m in this new period of my life where I really learned a lot about country music and fell in love with country music in a way I never thought I would. I would love for you to be on team Gwen.’
New coach Reba, 68, then stood up and showed ‘her award-winning belt buckle.’
‘You and I are kind of on the same vein of thinking, winning, working together, and win this whole sucker,’ Reba said.
Jacquie, 37, a wedding DJ from North Plains, Oregon, was the last performer of the episode.
Surprising pick: Gwen Stefani was stunned she beat out Reba McEntire on snagging country artist Jacquie Roar for her team on Tuesday’s two-hour episode of The Voice on NBC
She asked if she could have her six-year-old daughter Leilani come to the stage and help her pick after all four of the judges turned around after her performance of Gretchen Wilson’s song Here For The Party.
‘That was insane,’ Niall Horan, 30, said when she finished.
Leilani came out and Gwen got up to show her how ‘cute’ she was and then so did Niall. Leilani whispered in her mother’s ear.
‘We pick Gwen,’ Jacquie said.
Gwen ran out and gave Leilani her team shirt.
‘I really like your songs,’ Leilani said. ‘I always wanted to see you in real life.’
‘Here we are, finally,’ Gwen said.
Part four of the Blind Auditions opened with 20-year-old Laura Williams from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, who had Gwen, Niall, Reba and John Legend, 44, all turning their chairs.

Her parents watching backstage were thrilled that she got such a positive response for her first ‘gig’ singing Fingers Crossed by Lauren Spencer-Smith.
‘I can’t believe it!’ Laura said.
Laura told Niall she loved One Direction and saw him in 2015 sitting in the nosebleed section.
‘I saw you,’ Niall said.
Laura ended up picking Niall to be her coach.
‘The sky’s the limit for Laura,’ Niall said.
‘I love Laura’s performance but I’m very upset that she’s a Directioner,’ John said.

Ms. Monet, 50, from Pittsburg, California, wowed the judges with her performance of Higher Love by Steve Winwood. She worked as a background singer and at a jazz radio station. She said she had worked with Kenny Loggins, Huey Lewis & the News, Faith Hill and Queen Latifah among others. Gwen and Reba both turned around.
‘Now that you say that you’re a background singer, it kind of excites me because I think that’s the one thing I feel I could help you with,’ Gwen said. ‘It’s frustrating I think to have a voice that is that good and never really have your star shine by yourself in front, and I think a lot of that just has to do with letting your full personality and your individuality come through.’
Laura told Gwen that she actually sang backup on her Christmas album. Gwen was shocked.
‘Can you imagine if I didn’t press how stupid I would feel right now?’ Gwen said.
Laura ultimately picked Reba to be her coach.
‘Her voice touched my soul and that’s what I’m looking for,’ Reba said.
‘It’s a real fight this season and we never know who they are going to pick so we’ve got to battle it out,’ John said.
Jason Arcilla, 34, from Pukalani, Hawaii, gave an emotional rendition of Dreams by Fleetwood Mac, which had the coaches swaying in their chairs and made Gwen push her button. In the last seconds of the song, Reba pushed her button but Gwen had blocked her. Gwen, wearing a black and white checked outfit from head to toe, got out of her chair and strutted down the blocked sign to make her point.

‘I’m sorry,’ Gwen said.
Jason said that he sang the song every Sunday back home in Hawaii. Reba told him that his song touched her heart.
‘You’re on my team no matter what,’ Gwen said.
‘I’m so stoked!’ Jason said.
‘I’m so glad you get to work with Gwen,’ Niall said. ‘She’s mean but she’s a good singer.’
‘Can you believe Gwen blocked me?’ Reba said. ‘I was just sitting over here minding my own business. We will see how that fares.’
Giuliana Amaral, 21, from New Bedford, Massachusetts, took the stage next. She said she loved ‘rock & roll.’ She sang Rainbow in the Dark by Dio. Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned around. The coaches thanked her for coming.
Kaylee Shimizu, 17, from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, wowed all the coaches with her smooth voice. She sang Golden Slumbers by The Beatles and dedicated her performance to her grandfather who passed away.

‘You know you could win The Voice and doing it on Team Legend would be just a dream come true for me,’ John said. ‘I want to work with you.’
‘I’m absolutely blown away by you,’ Gwen said.
‘That was just unbelievable,’ Niall said. ‘When we talk about technically gifted, I’ve never met anyone so gifted.’
Kaylee chose John as her coach.
‘Incredible range, it’s like she’s a young Ariana Grande,’ John said.
BIAS, 23, from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who sang God’s Country by Blake Shelton, took the stage determined to knock the song out of the park. He said he was a worship pastor back home. Gwen recognized the song by her husband Blake from the start. Reba and Gwen both turned around.
‘You got the approval from the Queen of Country,’ Niall said.
‘And the Queen of Shelton,’ John said.

BIAS picked Gwen to be her coach.
‘Bias, that was a shocker,’ Gwen said. ‘Reba is the queen of country but I feel like I have my eyes on the country world now, and to have a country person on my team is really important to me.’
Gwen said she can’t wait to go home to tell Blake that she had him.
‘Bias was really good but Gwen was pulling the Blake card,’ Reba said. ‘I’ve known Blake longer than Gwen’s known Blake.’
David Simmons Jr., 40, from Kansas City, Missouri, sang Tainted Love. He said he came out to his father when he was 27 and his father said he loved him and nothing could change that. None of the coaches turned.
Rachele Nguyen, 17, from Cypress, California, wanted to make her grandmother proud when she took the stage and sang Bleeding Love. She said she was a first generation Vietnamese-American and her father supported her with voice lessons when she was only seven. Reba turned for her.
‘We’re going to have a blast and welcome to Reba Team,’ Reba said.
LVNDR, 27, from Lowell, Michigan, did a laid back cover of Hotline Bling by Drake that had Niall and John both hitting their buttons.
LVNDR gave each of them necklaces that smelled like lavender. John told her that he loved the vibe and feel of her performance.

She chose Niall to be her coach. Niall got up and hugged her.
Walking Eagle, 27, from Fairfax, Virginia, was the penultimate performer. He teaches music at an elementary school and liked bringing his Native American heritage into schools. He sang Everybody Wants To Rule the World, but none of the coaches turned.
The Voice will return Monday on NBC.
