Guy Sebastian Surprises with Unlikely Gig Venue Announcement

Guy Sebastian has announced a surprise upcoming gig – and you’ll never guess where it’s taking place.

The beloved Aussie star will be bringing some of his greatest hits to Westfield Parramatta as he promotes his new album 100 Times Around The Sun, which comes out on Friday, August 8.

The free event will see Guy sing his heart out and sign albums for Sydney-based fans on Sunday, August 10, at 12pm.

The 43-year-old, whose music has earned more than 1.3 billion streams since his debut in 2003, recently performed at the 2025 Logies on Sunday.

Fans swarmed X, formerly Twitter, to brutally roast Guy’s passionate performance after he took to the stage with his new song Get It Done from his upcoming album.

Taking to the stage, Guy gave a passionate performance, but was met with jeers on social media.

‘Is this from Guy Sebastian’s new album, because it sounds like almost every other Guy Sebastian song I know,’ one person savagely wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Another added: ‘It’s time for the ‘you remember the OG Australian Idol’ part of the night.’

Guy recently made headlines after a fake image of him with a black eye went viral on social media.

What’s more, when fans clicked on the image, they were taken to a scam website.

The Australian singer was seen with a swollen and bruised eye in an AI image that popped up as a YouTube ad.

It was accompanied by an alarming caption that read: ‘The whole country is in the [sic] state of shock after yesterday’s news.

‘Guy Sebastian says goodbye to his normal life. The police have arrested him.’

Clicking on the ad took users to a scam website, which attempted to get their personal details.

Guy is one of Australia’s most recognisable music stars, and his image is likely being used to lure unsuspecting users due to his high public profile.

It is the second time in the past month the singer’s image has been used by scammers, after a similar picture of him with a black eye was shared in June.

While the picture was clearly fake, many Reddit users questioned why they were seeing the image online.

‘Anyone else getting spammed with weird fake Guy Sebastian news story ads?’ one person asked.

‘I wonder how they choose what celeb to target. Someone enough people know to maybe be interested, but not know well enough to know it’s bull***t,’ another wrote.
