Getting a look into the homes of the rich and famous is a guilty pleasure for many. 

But with the rise of social media, it is now easier than ever. 

Celebrities such as AJ Odudu and TOWIE’s Mark Wright have jumped on the home renovation trend – and they have taken to Instagram to document the process. 

From lavish marbled kitchens to sprawling manicured gardens, these stars really know how to decorate a home. 

But can you guess which celebrities own these luxurious abodes?

1. Love Islander’s lavish chalet-turned-mansion 

This reality star has spent millions to turn a ‘chalet’ into the now lavish six bedroom, three floor property that boasts a cinema room and pool table. 

She often shares an glimpse into her lavish home on social media and set up a separate account to document the renovation and decorating.

The sprawling mansion is decorated throughout in an ultra modern and monochrome style, with a mix of marble flooring and fluffy cream carpets – but she enjoys filling it with pops of colour.

She boasts her own dressing room with wall to ceiling cupboards and a Hollywood style mirror surrounded by lights. 

Outdoors there is an ample seating area with huge cream cushions and sun loungers as well as a fire pit. 

Strictly star’s nature-focused pad 

She is known for her dancing and presenting prowess, but this performer takes pride in her abode – and enjoys a plant or two. 

In a home covered in greenery, colour and patterns, this star knows how to make a home vibrant – but also loves some ambient lighting.  

In an update recently, she wrote: ‘I’ve just been a little busy learning how to dance so my DIY days have reduced slightly but I hope you’re all happy at home? 

‘I’m spending my day of rest curled up on the settee having just watered all my plants. They’re staying alive.’

As a mover, she needs a space to stretch and relax – for which she has created a wooden haven in the garden that’s ‘at one with nature’.

Love Island couple’s cosy cottage 

The reality stars revealed they had moved out of their £1.5million mansion at the end of last year, three years after they bought it in February 2020. 

The sale was so they could start building a new mega home from scratch – a cosy cottage complete with timbered ceilings in the middle of the countryside.

One of the celebrity couple has admitted she feels like she is living in ‘The Holiday’ in the cottage, swapping their glitzy abode for something more homey.

Their new abode has an old-fashioned rustic feel with wooden fittings and patterned tiles – as well as a walled garden with stunning views of the surrounding fields.

Despite the much smaller space, the pair have made sure they are still living in luxury as their new kitchen was even fitted out with an AGA.

Hollywood meets Essex mansion

They might live in Essex, but this home looks like something out of a Hollywood movie.  

A stunning snap of the property shows a lavish outdoor area, complete with three cabana sun beds and multiple loungers.

The garden – which looks like something out of a Hollywood movie – also includes a stunning pool, lying in the middle of a white stone terrace.

Their sprawling home is full of bright lighting and has a luxurious marbled hallway.

They bought the home back in October 2019 for £1.3million, and have been documenting the renovation process via Instagram.

TOWIE couple’s warm and welcoming home

She is known for being an iconic part of TOWIE, but she and her husband have since taken on the job of renovating their home. 

The couple recently showcased their incredible garden transformation after giving £1.4million Essex mansion a pre-summer makeover. 

But they were also caught in the midst of a few rows with neighbours during the building process.

Billie and Greg had planned to create a five-bed home with a two-storey extension, gym, games room and huge walk-in wardrobe in the style of the Kardashians but were refused permission.

Local residents had said the works were ‘excessive’ and not in keeping with other properties on the street but updated plans were then approved. Their new home boasts a swimming pool, jacuzzi and fire pit.

EastEnders star’s not-so-humble abode 

They collected the keys to their ‘forever home’ in 2021 as the former EastEnders star told her fans she ‘loves’ the space and was ‘so proud’ of the family’s new beginning.

The six-bedroom house boasts a large kitchen and living room, as well as an additional study, fireplace and garden, while the parents’ room has its own desirable dressing area.

It even has a cheeky bathmat in the washroom saying ‘Get Naked’ adding a bit of character. 

‘It needs some tender loving care, a lick of paint and some tweaks,’ they said. ‘I love love love it so much. I’m so proud.’ 

The husband has discussed his Lego collection that includes a construct of The Disney Castle with his fans and has reserved a room in the new house for his hobby.

Reality star’s gold-plated Essex mansion 

It was only last year that this Essex star moved into her mansion, but it is already looking luxurious. 

She wasted no time in getting stuck in to decorating her new place with a festive feel when she moved in before Christmas, plastering her front door with an elaborate wreath.

And in true TOWIE style, the abode is full of gold, marble and glitz – with a particularly lush bathroom has black interiors with gold appliques and a stunning marble sink. 

However it is still homey, with a burning fireplace surrounded by high-end ceramics and decorated with flowers.

The mother-of-one also took to Instagram to share clips of moving house, saying the process had been ‘stressful’ and ‘crazy’.
