Bandt, who has previously discussed his ‘love’ of DJing at home, featured tunes by Billie Eilish and Charlie XCX in his set.
The Greens Leader boldly revealed his aim for doing the gig during an interview with News.com.au.
‘We wanted a fun and accessible way of talking with young people about politics,’ he said.
‘The rental crisis, climate crisis, and cost of living crisis, are all political. They’re all impacting young people but a lot of people feel disconnected from politics, and I feel like politics isn’t necessarily addressing the issues that they care about.’
Chatfield repeated the ‘politics is fun’ theme on her social media with a video of her and Bandt at the decks and a pitch to her followers to vote for the Greens.
‘Leader of the Australian Greens Party DJing in the run to the election? Hello?,’ Chatfield said in the caption and added:
‘Australian politics can be fun.’
The influencer also urged her followers to throw their support behind the Greens.

‘VOTE 1 GREENS Adam Bandt on the decks is beyond my wildest dreams!!!,’ she gushed in the post.
‘Remember to check that you’re enrolled and that all of your friends are enrolled to vote!’
Bandt could be following in the footsteps of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese ‘DJ’d’ while on the hustings in 2022.
Mr Albanese, who loves ’80s and ’90s music, treated his cheering fans to The Killers hit Mr Brightside at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club in Brisbane where he headed a campaign rally.
Younger voters aged between 18-25 are tipped to play a major role in the outcome of the coming election.
It comes after Abbie Chatfield’s glamorous mother Laura is set to make her reality TV debut on The Golden Bachelor Australia, competing to win the heart of Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden.
On Wednesday, Abbie’s 65-year-old mum was spotted filming scenes for the upcoming Channel Nine dating series in Sydney.
Laura’s journey to the small screen follows a public campaign by Abbie in 2023, advocating for her mother to become Australia’s first Bachelorette over 60.
Audiences have already glimpsed Laura’s charismatic presence on her daughter’s popular podcast, It’s A Lot, where her witty banter and impressive Abbie impersonations captivated listeners.
Based on her appearances on The Bachelor, Bachelor In Paradise and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, Abbie Chatfield is a seasoned reality TV star.
