A Grammy Award-winning star is the latest celebrity joining the cast of the third season of HBO’s Euphoria.
Filming for the much-delayed season finally got underway this week with series regulars and breakout stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi returning.
The upcoming season will leap frog in time and see the gang now out of high school – with singer Rosalia, 32, joining the line-up.
‘If there’s anything that excites me as much as finding a good melody or a good lyric, it’s becoming a better performer every day,’ she said in a statement to Deadline.
‘Euphoria has been my favorite series of the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all these colleagues that I admire so much and contributing my “granito de arena” to bring Sam’s vision to reality.
‘I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!! Besitos, Rosi,’ Rosalia shared.

Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane; Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie and Maude Apatow are also returning as series regulars.
Colman Domingo will return as a guest star while Storm Reid and Barbie Ferriera will be departing the show.
Former professional football player Marshawn Lynch and Kadeem Hardison are also joining the cast of Euphora.
Hardison previously worked with Zendaya, who played his daughter in the Disney Channel sitcom K.C. Undercover from 2015 to 2018.
‘I was over the moon when I heard the news that I booked it. It’s amazing to be back on set with Z.
‘She and I formed a tight friendship while shooting K.C. Undercover and we’ve stayed close, so this is truly special,’ Hardison said in a statement to the outlet.
‘Sam, Ashley, the entire cast and crew have all been great to work with and we’re all very happy to be shooting it here in LA, especially after the travesty that thousands here just experienced,’ he said, referring to the LA fires that ripped through the Pacific Palisades and Altadena neighborhoods of the city.
‘Our hearts go out to everyone affected and here’s to hoping more productions follow suit and come back to Los Angeles to shoot,’ he added.

Lynch also shared an enthusiastic statement, ‘I’m hella juiced about the show and getting a chance to work with the people in front and behind the camera.’
He added: ‘At the end of the day, I’m just thankful for the opportunity.’
It was initially reported that Dominic Fike was not returning after he was left out of HBO’s online release, but his future on the show is unclear as of this writing.
Algee Smith and Nika King will not be reprising their roles in Euphoria for the next instalment.
This means that Zendaya’s Rue will be without her mother and sister Gia ( played by Storm Reid).
Angus Cloud, who starred as drug dealer Fezco, passed away from an accidental drug overdose in July 2023 aged 25.
