Just before they exited the Villa, Joey headed over to Grace, his ex-flame from both inside and outside the villa, to say goodbye.
Reflecting on her experience in the Villa, Grace said: ‘The fact that I’m walking out here with Reuben just makes it so much better.
Reuben agreed: ‘It’s sad to leave everyone, however, look who I’ve walked out with, I’m winning regardless.’
On Wednesday, during a dramatic game of Couple of Sorts, Grace and Reuben were deemed the couple who were least likely to work on the outside by the public and were therefore dumped.
The challenge saw the islanders rank themselves, and then discovered if the public voted the same way, with the final question being: ‘Which couple is least likely to work on the outside?’
The contestants debated and then took their positions on the podium, ranking Grace and Reuben at the top – with viewers agreeing that the pair were least likely to last in the real world.
In second place were Jessy and Joey, while Jess and Ayo were in third.
Grace quipped: ‘I don’t agree and I’ll prove you all wrong,’ before an unexpected text rang out in the villa.

Josh then read out the message which revealed Grace and Reuben had been dumped from the island.
Viewers were gutted to see the pair go, with one penning on X: ‘Love Island did Grace & Reuben dirty, yet Sean & Joey are still in there’;
‘OMG! What a twist. Grace and Reuben have been dumped from the island. Didn’t expect that one at all’;
‘Grace and Reuben leaving the villa is actually insane. Should have been Joey or Sean!’
Speaking after leaving the villa, Grace said in an interview with ITV: ‘I feel good about leaving the Villa, it’s been a rocky road but I’m pleased with how I handled everything as gracefully as I possibly could, it’s been an incredible experience and I’ve loved every second of it.
‘I’m leaving with what I came in for with Reuben and to make it to the final week with all of the other Islanders is amazing.
‘We are going to take every day as it comes but I’m going to go down to Surrey and he’s also planning to visit me in Manchester.
I can’t wait for us to have date night and meet the rest of each other’s families. We are in a really good place and love being around each other so I’m excited to see where things go for us.’
Reuben added: ‘In terms of the public opinion, I had a suspicion they might feel that way because we’re a new couple and also because of the distance. I personally disagree with it. We were around each other 24/7 in there!

‘I personally think it’s a credit to our connection in an environment where everything is sped up, we have done it at our own pace.
For me, I think that’s going to be most sustainable in the long run as we’ve set up good foundations for a relationship.
‘When we found out we were leaving, I wasn’t sad, I knew I lived every day to the max and there are a lot of stronger couples in there.
‘We know how strong our connection is and the track we’re on.
‘It was all round a great experience and the fact I got to leave the Villa with an all around angel that I’m very much into and likes me back, I can’t ask for more.’
