has responded to due to her being perpetually late to their Death Becomes Her movie set.

Hawn, 80, and Streep, 76, starred alongside each other in the 1992 comedy-horror film.

And now the blonde actress has admitted, 'I think I’m 15 minutes late to everything. I mean, honestly, it’s unbelievable.'

She told Entertainment Tonight earlier this week that she and the Devil Wears Prada star 'got through that' and went on to become 'such great friends for so long.'

'But it is our joke,' Hawn told the outlet, teasing, 'She said I was too late on the set. Maybe she’s too early. I don’t know.'

Hawn also said: 'Sometimes when you’re too early, you’re still waiting for somebody and you think, "Oh, god, where the hell is she?"'

Streep recently revealed to Vanity Fair: 'Goldie, she was always late to set. And I'm always on time, you know, and annoying. But she's late.'

She recalled about her co-star, 'She had a red convertible, I remember, and she'd drive herself to set. And so that was probably the problem. She'd drive herself to set.

'She had her hair all over. She's like, "Oh gosh, sorry!" And everybody thought, "Oh, she's so cute." Yeah, so I had a beef with her.'

'Tedious is a kind of a little word for what it is. It's excruciating. And then when we get to the scene and we just do the scene, all silly, and fabulous me and with Goldie, we just laughed.

'We just had a lot of fun. And she's the best laugher in America, really. She laughs like [hearty belly laughing] and then they have to stop shooting...that part was fun.'

Hawn has been busy promoting her new children's book series The After-School Kindness Crew.

She co-wrote the story with Lin Oliver.

The first book was published on Tuesday by Penguin Workshop.
