Gerry Turner after eliminating Faith Martin reunited with her and they sobbed together on Thursday’s Women Tell All episode of The Golden Bachelor on ABC.
The 72-year-old retired widow from Hudson, Indiana had an emotional breakdown during the last rose ceremony in which he gave his final rose to Theresa Nist, 70, a financial services professional from Shrewsbury, New Jersey, over Faith, 61, a high school teacher from Benton City, Washington.
Theresa and Leslie Fhima, 64, a fitness instructor from Golden Valley, Minnesota, who had gotten a rose earlier, hugged Faith and Gerry then walked her out.
‘To try so hard and have it not work is devastating,’ Faith said in a confessional.
Gerry told Faith that the decision was tough and that it had been a joy getting to know her. She wished him well and got into the waiting car.

‘Right now I’m numb,’ Faith said in the car driving away. ‘Maybe it was in my own head, I don’t know.’
Faith returned on the live show and watched back the rose ceremony crying while sitting next to host Jesse Palmer, 45. Faith told him it was hard to watch the moment again.
‘It’s gut wrenching,’ Faith said. ‘It shattered me.’
Gerry then came out and hugged Faith. Faith cried in his arms and Gerry started sobbing, too.
‘When I looked up that day when you were walking me out , I felt like I was looking at a stranger and that was the most devastating thing to me,’ Faith said. ‘To have it just be nothing.’
‘It was not nothing,’ Gerry said.
Faith said crying that Gerry broke down her walls that she had up for 30 years.
‘I’d have been yours for the rest of your life,’ Faith tearfully said. ‘I felt that safe, and I’ve never felt that way.’

‘My love for you was genuine in those moments,’ Gerry said. ‘At some point, when I had three women that are beyond description wonderful, I had to figure out which one was the right one. That doesn’t mean the other two were any less important or any less lovable. It just meant that one was right.’
Gerry cried and said he felt bad because he promised her family that he would protect Faith’s heart. Faith said she didn’t feel that he had deceived her at all. Gerry wiped tears from his eyes and then Faith hugged him.
‘I will always love you Gerry,’ Faith said.
‘Oh, God,’ Gerry said.
When the episode opened, show host Jesse asked April Kirkwood, 65, a therapist from Port St. Lucie, what it was like kissing Gerry knowing that her grandkids were at home watching.
‘They really made me promise to kind of pull it in a little bit,’ April said. ‘In retrospect, I think I pulled it a little too much looking back.’
April also admitted she wasn’t really hurt on the pickle ball court.
‘Desperate times call for desperate measures,’ April said.

Jesse then gave Kathy Starts, 70, a retired educational consultant, an opportunity to clear on the air about her drama with Theresa. Kathy said she was a straight shooter.
‘And watching the show back, could I have been a little more delicate?’ Kathy said. ‘Yes. Absolutely, I could have. Maybe we both should have zipped it but truly it’s passed.’
Jesse then played back scenes from the house including Susan Noles, 66, a wedding officiant from Aston, Pennsylvania, telling everyone including Gerry that she had bad gas from eating Edith’s guacamole.
‘I ate it morning, noon and night,’ Susan said. ‘She would make pasta bowls of guacamole and there’s chips everywhere. I’m a pig.’
‘It wasn’t my guacamole,’ Edith Aguirre, 60, a retired realtor from Downey, California, said.
Jesse said the show was inspiring because it showed hope.
Susan said she was able to reach people with her experience.
‘To let them know, it’s not over, get back up,’ Susan said.
‘You all were so inspiring,’ Jesse said.
Jesse said they touched one woman and then held up his phone and played a video from Kardashian family matriarch Kris Jenner, 68.

‘This has been the most amazing season, I have watched it all the years literally since Trista and Ryan,’ Kris said from her kitchen. ‘So thank you for giving us so much joy, so much pleasure. You guys have been such an inspiration to me and my family. We are obsessed with all of you. But Me? Susan, you are amazing. And I love your style. Love the hair. And you nailed it, doll.’
Susan, who has a similar hairstyle to Kris, was shocked.
‘I love her,’ Susan said while wiping away tears of joy.
Jesse then pulled Joan Vassos, 60, a private school administrator, into the hot seat to address her premature departure from the show after leaving to help her daughter who had just had a baby.
‘Everything is great at home now,’ Joan said. ‘My daughter had a really serious case of postpartum depression and she needed me. She needed her mom and I didn’t think twice. I knew I had to be there, I heard it in her voice.’
Joan said Gerry was understanding and that she left feeling for the first time in a long while that she could have a future with somebody.
Jesse then asked Ellen Goltzer, 71, a retired teacher from Delray Beach, Florida, to join him on stage and replayed her romantic journey on the show culminating with her not getting a rose during a rose ceremony.
‘How hard was that goodbye?’ Jesse asked.

‘Probably one of the most emotional and difficult times of my life, where I was face-to-face with true unhappiness and disappointment,’ Ellen said. ‘I just saw an amazing life with him.’
Ellen said Gerry made her feel like a princess. Ellen said she applied for the spin-off show because of her friendship with her close friend Roberta who got diagnosed with cancer before she went on the show. She said the two of them planned to watch the show together.
‘When I got back from filming, she was in a semi-coma state and I knew that she was suffering, and I knew that she was staying with me so we could share that,’ Ellen said. ‘I finally said to her, ”I don’t want you to suffer anymore. I want you to go. It’s okay. We’re going to watch the show, just from different places together”.’
Jesse cried hearing her touching story and pointed out that Roberta’s daughter Courtney was in the audience and Ellen ran over to hug her.
‘Thank you from my family, from everyone for showing us what true friendship, love, loyalty look like,’ Courtney said. ‘You are beautiful inside and out. You were the best friend she could have ever asked for, and if anyone deserves to find love and happiness, it’s you. You deserve the world.’
‘Roberta, we did it!’ Ellen screamed.
Gerry then joined the show and the audience cheered. Jesse asked how he was doing.

‘I’m doing okay,’ Gerry said. ‘I haven’t had a heart attack yet, but it’s getting close.’
Gerry told the women that he missed all of them. Ellen thanked Gerry for giving her the confidence to move on and find love.
‘Through our journey, and our experience, we’ve become more hopeful,” Gerry told the women. “We’ve become more optimistic. We realized at our age, we are not invisible, that we have meaning, and that we have many things to offer. It’s like we made history together. We have so much to be proud of. “
The Golden Bachelor will return next Thursday on ABC.
