Gogglebox’s Daniel Lustig-Webb has broken his silence after it emerged his ex husband Stephen has signed up to Celebs Go Dating.
The TV personality, 43, and his now former husband Stephen, 52, revealed only last month that they are divorcing after six years of marriage.
Just weeks after the announcement, it was reported Stephen has been scouted by E4 bosses for the dating show and is ‘excited’ to look for love again.
Yet, Daniel proved to be nothing but supportive as the ex-couple amicably parted ways and vowed to remain good friends.
Saying he doesn’t know much about the show, he told The Mirror: ‘But anything he goes on to do, I’ll definitely support him and watch.’

When asked if it was too early for Stephen to join a dating show, he quickly dismissed saying: ‘No not at all, it’s something that’s gone on for a while and he’ll be a very good candidate. He’s got some very very funny stories if he is going on it.’
‘Yes, of course I want him to find love again. We always want our exes and friends to find love and just to be happy,’ he added.
A TV insider previously told The Sun: ‘Stephen is set to sign up for Celebs Go Dating after successful advanced talks with E4 producers.
‘Bosses were really keen to get him as soon as they heard he and Stephen had split as they know viewers will invest in his path to finding love again, and he’s already a big favourite with Channel 4 viewers after years on Gogglebox.
‘Stephen is also really keen to have some fun again after a difficult few months, and he’s also raring to get back on TV after having to step down from Dancing on Ice due to injury.
‘He was gutted when that fell through, but he feels excited to take on a new project. He is realistic that he may not find Mr Right but he is up for a laugh on the dating scene.’
Celebs Go Dating follows a group of single stars as they look for love, with a bit of help from dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Brunson.
While a return date has not yet been confirmed, series 12 premiered in September 2023 and included star such as Adam Collard, Lottie Moss and Chloe Burrows.

Stephen and Daniel announced their divorce last month but revealed they are still on good terms, with the pair both running their hair salon together
MailOnline have contacted Channel 4 for comment.
Stephen and his husband Daniel broke their silence their divorce last month.
The pair said they are still on good terms and are both running their hair salon together.
They proved to be amicably separating as they took to Instagram after sharing the relationship news – posting a video of themselves riding a tandem bike and they made light of their split.
Stephen even joked in the caption as he penned: ‘Riding tandem straight out of this marriage #beryl #bff.’
They looked like they were having a great time as they enjoyed a day out in sunny Brighton together where they live.
Just a day earlier television personality Stephen told The Sun on Sunday: ‘It’s with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce.
‘There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways.’
Daniel said: ‘We’ve made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end.
‘I’m sure we will forever be friends.’
Stephen first appeared on Channel 4 show Gogglebox more than a decade ago in 2023 alongside his ex-boyfriend Chris Ashby-Steed.
When the couple split, Stephen remained on the programme with his late mother Pat.
Stephen and Daniel left Gogglebox last year before it was announced Stephen was to take part in the 2024 series of Dancing On Ice.
However, Stephen was forced to pull out of the figure skating competition when he broke his ankle early on in training.
He was rushed to the Queen Alexandra hospital in Portsmouth in October last year, where medics told him he had broken his left ankle and would be on crutches for at least three months.
Stephen underwent an operation to put metal plates into his ankle for additional support, but there was no hope of him getting back on the ice.

Sources close to Stephen said he had been ‘thoroughly enjoying the new challenge’ and getting to know judges Torvill and Dean as well as the other celebrity contestants, and was ‘gutted’ to have lost his place in the competition before the show had even started.
They said at the time: ‘Stephen is devastated… he is absolutely gutted. He was loving training but while turning on his skates he snapped his ankle and was rushed to hospital.
‘After two days and an operation to put metal plates into his left ankle, medics informed him that there wasn’t a chance he could return to training, so he had no other option but to pull out of the competition.’
