Gladiators made its long-awaited return to screens on Saturday after 25 years, with a whole new cast set to do battle in the iconic arena.
But while fans were happy to see the programme’s come back, they were left unimpressed with the BBC’s choice in presenters.
Fronted by Bradley Walsh, 63, and his son Barney, 26, viewers begged TV bosses to ‘give someone else a chance’ as the presenter featured on three shows in one the evening.
While Gladiators aired on BBC One, Bradley was also seen over on ITV on both The Chase, and Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad, just a few hours later.
Fans questioned ‘if any one else was available’ to present Saturday evening TV shows and claimed his appearance was ‘overkill.’

Sharing their thoughts on Twitter / X one person commented: ‘Bradley Walsh is Saturday evening TV these days…come on TV executives take a risk and give someone else a chance.’
Another added: ‘TV commissioners… it IS possible to have a game show on the telly that is NOT presented by Bradley Walsh!’
‘Listen, I’ve nothing against Bradley Walsh, I’m sure he’s a nice bloke, but Jesus Christ, give someone else a go at presenting something. It’s overkill at this stage,’ someone else posted.
One fan joked: ‘Bradley Walsh is hardly on TV these days, I thought he had retired.’
‘Question. Is there nobody available other than Bradley Walsh and son that can present shows,’ another asked.
It comes as former Gladiators’ host Ulrika Jonsson has slammed the show’s upcoming BBC reboot, branding it ‘woke’.
The TV personality, 56, who fronted the series 1992-2000, revealed she had been provided with a screening of the new series during an appearance on Friday’s Lorraine.
Saying: ‘It brought tears to my eyes, they’ve kept the music and general feel of it,’ before slamming the new show for no longer featuring cheerleaders.’

The TV personality, who fronted the series 1992-2000, revealed she had been provided with a screening of the new series during an appearance on Friday’s Lorraine (pictured on the show in 1992)
Saying: ‘It brought tears to my eyes, they’ve kept the music and general feel of it,’ before slamming the new show for no longer featuring cheerleaders (original G-Force troop pictured)
She continued: ‘I don’t know if it some kind of wokery, the whole point, the cheerleads they brought another level to it’.
The original series featured scantily-clad troop G-force, a group of eight women who would perform an array of dance routines alongside the contestants and Gladiators.
Recalling the original series UIrika revealed there was lots of saucy goings on behind the scenes, after she made headlines dating Hunter, real name James Crossley.
However during her latest TV appearance she failed to name him as her favourite Gladiator, choosing instead Saracen (Michael Lewis).
