Gigi Hadid looked unrecognizable after making a major transformation to her hair.

The 30-year-old supermodel decided to cut and dye her signature blonde beach waves as seen in a glamour shot shared by her hair stylist Dimitris Giannetos.

In the celebrity hair expert’s recent Instagram post on Thursday, the mother-of-one was seen with slightly wet, raven black hair that had been cropped to a chin-length bob.

She changed up her look for the new year — going for a ‘matte black mini bob’ as he wrote in his caption — for a Maybelline photoshoot as the makeup brand’s longtime ambassador.

Coincidentally, Gigi — who is reportedly getting ready for a proposal from her boyfriend, actor Bradley Cooper, per the Daily Mail’s inside sources — dyed her hair dark just months after her younger sister notably went from her signature brunette locks back to her natural blonde hair. 

When Gigi and Bella debuted on the modeling scene, the pair were known for their juxtaposing hair colors and differing aesthetics.

In the stunning snapshots, Gigi showed off an overall edgier look compared to her signature, girl-next-door look.

Her dark brunette hair was parted deeply to the side as well as slicked back and gelled down for a wet hair appearance.

She also rocked a dark and sultry makeup look to complement her new hair.

Her light blue eyes were highlighted by a shimmering, smoky eye makeup look paired with warm bronzer for a sun-kissed glow and completed with a matte, nude pink lip. 

The model wore a plunging, lingerie-inspired camisole layered over a sheer mesh top. 

She wore a metallic cuff statement necklace to go with her monochromatic, all-black outfit for a new makeup campaign and the new year. 

Her major hair transformation comes amid reports that her boyfriend of two years is gearing up to propose to her.

Gigi shares five-year-old daughter Khai with her ex-boyfriend, One Direction alum Zayn Malik. 

She and the singer were together for nearly six years before they called it quits in October 2021. 

As for Cooper, he shares daughter Lea De Seine, nearly nine with another supermodel, Irina Shayk, whom he dated from 2015 to 2019.
