He may have been known as muscle-bound hulk Rhino in the nineties but Mark Smith has gone on to bigger things since her starred in the first series of Gladiators.
Mark, 54, featured on the show from 1995 until its finale in 2000 and was deemed the joker of the Gladiator pack, having the live audience in fits of giggles with his robotic dancing and body popping moves.
But Mark moved from Acton in west London to Los Angeles, California and went on to bag several acting roles.
Having set his sights on Hollywood he has featured in high-profile films including Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Argo – directed by Ben Affleck – and Frozen Ground, starring Nicholas Cage.
Prior to his move to the US, Mark, who once enjoyed a fling with former Gladiators host Ulrika Jonsson, had parts in EastEnders, The Bill and Robin Hood.

During his time a Rhino in the nineties, Mark suffered a horrific injury after falling from the Pyramid while filming Gladiators, with his leg being left in plaster for 12 weeks.
But he now shares regular updates on social media about how to keep fit over the age of 50.
After Gladiators he appeared as Johnson in EastEnders for four episodes in 2005.
He previously told The Sun: ‘That was huge for me. I was in Phil’s garage and had to repossess a car. I remember my mind being blown by how small the set was.’
After moving to America, one of his first film roles was in Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, in which he played a Shadow Warrior in Tibet alongside actor Christian Bale.
He has also appeared in American TV shows such as Agents of S.H.I.EL.D, and NCIS: Los Angeles.
The entertainment pro has also leant his voice to Disney, taking on the role of Rhino Officer McHorn in the animated 2016 Disney film Zootropolis.
But Mark has not forgotten his sporting roots – he previously turned his hand to boxing.

He competed in a number of amateur fights at the Hammersmith Palais, Manchester Arena and Earls Court and beat all his opponents.
In 2005, he took on the infamous £9.7 million winner ‘Lotto lout’ Michael Carroll.
And his fame has seen him be recognised in some unusual places around the world.
In 2019 he told The Guardian he was spotted while on safari in Zimbabwe with his wife Simone and their children.
He said: ‘We were in the Land Rover and someone leaned over and said: “Eh, Rhino, do you think we might see a rhino?”‘
Mark added: ‘I think I’m the most successful gladiator! I’ve been very lucky.’

Gladiators made a grand return to screens earlier this month with a BBC reboot, over three decades since it first aired.
Attracting over 14 million viewers in its heyday, the cast of the original ITV show quickly became household names.
On the original Gladiators, members of the public battled it out against the show’s cast of bodybuilders and gymnasts, with the format remaining largely untouched for the reboot.
Gladiators continues Saturday 3 February at 7.10pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
