Who is Marvin Humes?
Marvin Humes was born on March 18, 1985 in Greenwich, London, to a Jamaican father and a Scottish mother. The crooner also has two brothers – Leon and Jackson.
Humes has previously appeared in Holby City and was in a band called VS, which was formed by Blue member – Simon Webbe.
But the Londoner is best known for being one quarter of X Factor boy-band JLS.
The foursome was formed by Oritsé Williams who was scouted for numerous boy bands but felt none were quite the right fit.
So, Williams decided to create his own group and cherry picked both Aston Merrygold and Humes.
He also asked JB Gill to join the group because of his ‘musical ear’, and as a result JLS was born.
But, the group didn’t start out as JLS – they were originally called UFO, which stood for Unique Famous Outrageous.
The band made their debut on the fifth series of X Factor, however they had to change their name as UFO was taken by another competitor.
They opted to go with JLS, initialising Jack the Lad Swing, the name of a sound they had been developing.
JLS quickly stormed their way through the competition, bagging second place behind Alexandra Burke.
The group signed to Epic Records and released a number of hits including, Beat Again and Everybody in Love, while bagging numerous awards – including BRITS and MOBOs – in the process.
JLS also reunited this year for a huge reunion tour across the UK this year.

Who is Marvin Humes married to?
Marvin Humes is married to Rochelle Humes, a former member of the girl group – The Saturdays.
The loved-up pair have been together since 2010, with Humes proposing to Rochelle a year later, on New Year’s Eve in 2011.
The pair officially tied the knot a year later in Blenheim Palace.
The presenters share two daughters, Alaia-Mai, 10, Valentina, six, and a son, Blake, aged three.
However, it hasn’t always been plain sailing for the pair as they briefly split in November 2010 – after only eight months of dating.
Marvin dropped the bombshell via JLS’ Twitter page: ‘I’m very sad to say that it is all true… Rochelle and I have split up… thank you for all your kind messages of support… love you guys… Marv x.’
Rochelle shared a statement from her personal account, writing: ‘Hey guys thanks for messages! It’s all a bit odd to share a break-up!
‘We have split but, we are still very much friends! You guys are lovely.’
But, the two singers couldn’t be at odds for too long, as they reconciled two months after their split, with Marvin officially putting a £45,000 ring on it during an picturesque holiday to Antigua.
The pair have been a co-presenting powerhouse ever since.

What has Marvin Humes done after JLS?
After JLS called it a day in 2013, the boy band member went on to have a successful presenting career.
The same year, Humes began hosting his own show on Capital network on Friday evenings.
Following his stint on the radio station, in 2014 he went on to host the Vodafone Big Top 40 with Kat Shoob.
His radio run also included presenting the Capital Late Show, and co-hosting One Love Manchester on all Global Radio stations in 2017.
But the disc jockey hung up his headphones for the final time in January 2023.
The X Factor star didn’t only turn his hand to radio, the musician has also collected a variety of successful prime time presenting gigs along the way.
Humes first appeared on ITV as a presenter on This Morning on August 23, 2013, alongside wife, Rochelle Humes.
The pair became regular stand-in presenters on the show in 2015, with Humes also regularly appearing on Holly Willoughby’s Surprise Surprise on ITV.
The crooner also hosted season three, four and five of the Voice UK on BBC One, alongside Emma Willis.
He and wife, Rochelle also co-hosted BBC One’s music gameshow the Hit List.
I’m a Celeb bosses are hoping that the singer’s boy-band past and successful career as a prime time presenter will appeal to ITV viewers, The Sun reports.
A source said: ‘Marvin would be a brilliant signing. Not only is he known to fans of The X Factor and fans of JLS, but the audience for The Hit List and This Morning spans from kids right through older viewers.
‘And with Rochelle’s backing, he’s got a ready made fan base. He’ll have lots of showbiz stories to tell, too, from his 15 years in the limelight.’
Powerhouse: Alongide his wife, Rochelle, Humes has bagged one presenting gig after another. Show bosses hope his reputation as a prime time presenter will appeal to ITV viewers
