Georgie Tunny shared a bittersweet birthday tribute to her fiancé Robert Mills on Friday after the couple spent the last year in a long-distance relationship.
The Melbourne-based Project co-host, 33, took to Instagram to wish the actor, 42, a happy birthday and bemoaned being so far away from him as he works in Sydney.
Starring in & Juliet, which is coming to the end of its four-month run in NSW, Robert has been away from his love for extended periods of time due to his work.
Georgie shared several images of the pair from the happy moments they are together and shared an insight into their relationship.
‘Robert and I always liken our relationship to a see-saw, when one of us is flailing the other stays grounded, when one is earthbound the other lifts them up,’ she said.

‘It’s been a tough year. Long distance brings with it missed calls, countless FaceTimes, hilarious dates, and a simmering loneliness without your [lobster emoji].
‘But we’re nearly there! And I’m so proud of him. And I think you should all be proud of him, too. And it’s his birthday.’
Georgie went on to urge her followers to wish Robert a happy birthday and ‘show him all of the love’, explaining that he ‘hates birthdays’ and she wants to ‘rectify’ it.

The lovebirds live together in Melbourne where Georgie films The Project, but Robert has spent much of the last year on the road travelling for work.
Landing the role of Shakespeare in the musical stage show & Juliet, the former Neighbours star has been touring across Australia and even went to Singapore.
Georgie has previously said she and Robert, who got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2021, both struggle to manage their time together while doing long-distance.

‘We’re both still learning how to do [long-distance],’ the ABC presenter told Who magazine in December last year.
‘We both lead independent lives and for the majority of our lives we’ve always put career first so we are both still learning to prioritise us.’
Robert, who rose to fame as a contestant on Australian Idol in 2003, proposed to Georgie three years after they started dating.
‘Best road trip of my life. I asked this girl to be my wife… Happy New Year everyone,’ he wrote alongside an image of Georgie showing off her diamond ring.
