Georgia Tennant Calls Police After Death Threats, Stalker Reward Incident

David Tennant’s wife Georgia has been forced to contact the police after receiving more vile death threats on social media, just weeks after a stalker offered a reward for her murder.

The actress, 40, took to her Instagram Stories on Friday with snaps of the distressing messages that saw her branded a ‘dirty w****’ who deserved to ‘die for good’.

Georgia, who has been happily married to the Doctor Who star, 54, in 2011 and with whom she shares five children, was also referred to as the ‘ex wife of David Tennant’.

In other messages she was cruelly called ‘disgusting’ before being told to ‘return to the streets’ where she came from.

Alongside screenshots of the messages Georgia tagged the Metropolitan Police and Instagram in a desperate bid for them to intervene.

The actress and her famous husband share Olive, 14; Wilfred, 12; Doris, 10; and five-year-old Birdie, as well as Georgia’s 23-year-old son Ty from a previous relationship.

In September Georgia revealed she has a stalker who she claims offered a reward on social media for her murder and reached out to Facebook, as well as its owner Mark Zuckerberg, to ask if action can be taken.

She shared an example of one of the threats, which read:  ‘Whoever kills Georgia Tennant immediately will receive a reward from me.’

Earlier this year the actress shared a sweet tribute to her actor husband as they celebrated 17 years since they first started dating.

Posting a gallery of snaps from throughout their relationship, Georgia gushed about her ‘kind, funny and relentlessly generous’ spouse.

However, she also took the chance to poke fun at her husband after he once again missed out on a win for a BAFTA Television Award over the weekend, despite being nominated for his role in the Disney+ series Rivals.

Georgia’s caption read: ’17 years since we became us. I am so relieved I get to do it all with you. My kind, funny, relentlessly generous, Bafta-less love. You are it x.’

The couple met in 2008, when Georgia starred in the BBC hit series Doctor Who, as she took on the role of David’s character’s genetically engineered daughter Jenny, and they married three years later.

The acclaimed star had been nominated for Leading Actor in a Drama for his role in Rivals, but missed out on the gong to Lennie Jamies for Mr Loverman.

Despite earning praise for his role in Rivals, with filming for a second series currently underway, ITV’s hope to turn the into one of their new faces has failed as his latest show has been one of the channel’s biggest rating flops in years.

The actor hosted Genius Game, which cost ITV more than £2.5million to make.

Despite the channel investing in the former Time Lord, the viewing figures, which were released this week, showed only an average of 739,000 people tuned in.

A television insider told The Sun: ‘The Genius Game was a reflection of ITV’s rush to create the next big challenge show following the huge success of The Traitors.

‘They chose Tennant as he’s such a household name, although his not-insubstantial fee also inflated the cost of making the programme. Yet despite pumping so much money into the show, it hasn’t delivered ratings wise.’

The prime-time reality game-show sees contestants compete in a series of mental challenges.

During the first show, Genius Game kicked off with an average of 1.2million watching but by episode two that had dramatically dropped to 846,000.

This week the ratings plummeted again and ITV have announced that it will be cutting the show from two episodes a week to one.
