George Clooney has joked that his children will ‘need therapy’ once they see one of his less-successful film roles – and his costume in particular.
The actor, 64, spoke to The Sun about his career, as he gave nods to his global success in breakthrough role as paediatric doctor Doug Ross in ER, while also admitting he is less proud of 1997 flop Batman & Robin.
In the movie, he played the Caped Crusader alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman – and despite the all-star cast, the film receieved a lacklustre response, with 11 Razzie nominations and an abysmal 11% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
He is father to eight-year-old twins Alexander and Ella with wife Amal, who he married in 2014, and confessed his fears for their reaction to his filmography.
He said: ‘We know they’re going to be in therapy no matter what, just from Batman & Robin. ‘My dad had rubber f***ing nipples’. Disaster.’

George has always been candid about the film’s failure, after the movie comic universe became a mockery thanks to the Joel Schumacher-helmed piece.
Earlier this month, when asked which film he learnt the most from, he said: ‘Batman & Robin! I learned a lot [from] that one..
‘You don’t learn from succeeding — you learn from failing, and then you have to figure it out along the way, so it’s helpful.’
He went on: ‘I wasn’t good in it, it wasn’t a good film. What I learned from that failure was that I had to relearn how I was working…
‘Now, I wasn’t just an actor getting a role, I was being held responsible for the film itself. So the next three films I did were Three Kings, Out of Sight and O Brother, Where Art Thou? That was a very specific choice for me to find better projects.’
George is blazing the promo trail for his new movie Jay Kelly and earlier this month he gave an extremely rare insight into his family life.
The actor and human rights lawyer Amal, 47, welcomed theirt twins in June 2017.
While he rarely sheds light on family life, George made a sweet comment about how the twins ‘still like him’ and how he ‘has nothing to complain about’.

Speaking to the Express, he sweetly said of his life: ‘I get up in the morning and I’m happy that I go to work; I have a beautiful family that I go home to and we have a very lucky life. And if you don’t celebrate that, something’s wrong.’
George was discussing the contrasts between himself and his character in Jay Kelly, in which he stars opposite pal Adam Sandler, as he said: ‘I don’t really relate to this character because I don’t have anything like the regrets this guy has’.

While the duo remain relatively tight-lipped about their family, in his promotional interviews, George has opened up about being happy with his life.
Hollywood heartthrob George stars as Jay Kelly, alongside his pal Adam, 59, who plays Ron Sukenick (the duo pictured on the red carpet last month)
He said: ‘I don’t really relate to this character because I don’t have anything like the regrets this guy has. ‘I have a very different life than he does. All the people that I’ve worked with, they still work with me. And you know, my kids like me…
‘I mean, they’re eight. They could change. But at this point they still like me.’
He sweetly added: ‘I don’t find any reason to complain about anything about being famous and I don’t find anything I have to complain about.’
In the movie, George takes on the role of a movie star who ‘always plays himself’ in Netflix’s new comedy drama Jay Kelly, where Adam plays his manager.
The star-studded cast also features fellow Oscar winners Laura Dern, Jim Broadbent as well as Isla Fisher, Billy Crudup and Barbie director Greta Gerwig.
