Gemma Collins shares heartbreaking post about her fertility battle as she spends quality time with her step-son at the beach during half-term

Gemma Collins has shared an emotional Instagram post on Monday as she pleaded for mums to ’embrace their children’ as she opened up about her fertility struggles.

The TOWIE icon, 44, is step mum to fiancé Rami Hawash’s son Tristan, seven, and opened up about their special bond as they spent quality time together at the seaside during half term.

Gemma and Tristan looked happier than ever in the sweet snap as they enjoyed a meal at a restaurant overlooking the ocean and she urged mums to enjoy the precious moments.

The reality star gushed that she is ‘loving this [phase] of her life’ being a step-mum and that it has allowed her to become the ‘best version of herself’. 

She penned: ‘Beautiful half term happiness it’s really not difficult to love a child unconditionally. 

‘I’m loving this faze of my life having time to be the best version of me, embrace your children this half term don’t moan enjoy it remember there’s always someone who doesn’t have what you got. Let children be children @rami_hawash_’ [sic]

Gemma gushed that she is ‘loving this [phase] of her life’ being a step-mum and that it has allowed her to become the ‘best version of herself’

Gemma has been incredibly candid about her wish to have children and previously shared that she has faced several miscarriages and was once advised to terminate a pregnancy of an intersex baby.  

The TV personality has also shared that after struggling to conceive naturally, she and fiancé Rami were considering going down the surrogacy route and she has previously revealed she has considered fostering, as her mum was fostered as a child.

She has a low number of AMH hormones, meaning she also has a limited number of eggs available, and also suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which directly affects the ovaries. 

Gemma got engaged to businessman Rami last year and the couple have since spilled the beans about their plans for their upcoming nuptials, revealing they want three separate weddings. 

The reality star icon explained that she wants a main ceremony in the UK, a second taking place abroad and then a ‘formal one’ for their closest family and friends.

It comes after Gemma helped a woman shove her car out of a ditch during a late-night car journey last week.

The TV personality was on her way home from a shoot when she came across a woman whose car was stuck in a ditch.

Gemma- who was dressed in sparkly ballgown – didn’t hesitate to help the woman out.

Sharing a video to her Instagram, Gemma and the friends she was travelling with hopped out of their car to help out, saying: ‘I can’t leave a young girl stranded.’

Speaking to the camera from her car, Gemma said: ‘After today’s shoot, when I say to you my life is never plain sailing, I’m taking a team to Smith’s and look what’s happened.’

Turning to the woman in the car, she shouted: ‘We’re coming to save you honey!’

Gemma then approached the car and said: ‘Honey, it’s the GC. I couldn’t stop and leave you. The GC has come to the rescue,’ as the woman stuck could be heard saying: ‘Oh my God!’

Gemma was then seen asking: ‘Can we help this girl? Apparently I’ve got a tow bar.’

The reality star then helped to push the car out of the ditch before advising the woman: ‘Don’t worry, I used to sell cars. Put it in reverse, in neutral.’

Back in her car at the end of the video, Gemma playfully added: ‘I get my hands dirty honey.’

The star captioned the video: ‘HERES WHAT HAPPENED NEXT! It always happens to ME!’
