Gary Numan’s nepobaby daughter Raven Numan has revealed she’ll be joining the musician on stage this month for the 45th anniversary tour of his album, Telekon.
The songstress, 22, who insists it was actually pop star Katy Perry – not her dad – who inspired her to become a singer, announced the news on Instagram, telling fans: ‘Words can’t express how excited I am, I hope to see you there.’
Raven tagged her 80s electronic music icon dad, 67, and listed a string of sold-out dates, including shows in Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol and London’s Eventim Apollo. The run, which starts next week, continues across the UK and Ireland until 3 December.
While she is set to hit the stage in style, Raven proved her talents also lay elsewhere as she showcases her volumptuous figure in a slew of sizzling snaps online.
The latest in a long line of young creatives to get a leg-up from a famous parent, Raven is the eldest daughter of Cars hitmaker Gary and his wife Gemma Numan – a former member of his fan club, who fell for him after meeting at a signing in 1992.

The pair married five years later, in 1997, and went on to have three daughters: Raven, Persia, 20, and Echo Moon, 18. All three have grown up immersed in their father’s creative world; Persia is also a singer, while Echo Moon is an artist.
Reflecting on growing up in a creative household – and her decision to follow in her dad’s famous footsteps – Raven told Blitzed magazine earlier this year.
She said: ‘I didn’t really have any interest in it until I was about nine or ten when I saw a Katy Perry documentary…
‘She’s the one that got me into all of this, the singing business. So about 11 or 12 years ago I would write my own songs, and I still have a stack of paper with lyrics on them. I keep everything. Some of them are actually kind of good!’
She’s now turned those early scribbles into a series of self-penned singles. Six are already out, with an album in the works.
She cites Nine Inch Nails, Lana Del Rey, Ariana Grande and Beyonce as her biggest influences – though it’s clear her father’s legacy also looms large.
Raven made her live debut at Wembley Arena aged just 18 when she joined him on stage for the first time. She recalled: ‘I almost passed out! That was actually terrifying. I have never been that scared in my entire life…
‘Especially before, I was just pacing, pacing back and forth, trying to breathe and trying to stay calm and when I heard my dad say “welcome to the stage Raven and Persia”…

More recently, Raven turned heads last weekend when she posted a photo on Instagram of herself dressed as Natalie Portman’s pink-wigged stripper character from the 2014 film Closer for Halloween
‘I was down by the stairs and I don’t know what happened, I guess I blanked, like I didn’t realise I wasn’t in my spot, so I dashed…
‘I’ve never run that fast in my life! I ran up those stairs and I ran onto the stage and I was like “uh, hi!” There was a mass of people. It was just like a sea of heads. That was insane.”
Last year she supported Gary for three nights at Camden’s Electric Ballroom, performing a 14-minute set of unreleased songs she’d written herself.
She admitted: ‘It was very scary,’ she admitted. ‘But I had a great support system around me. My band is so sweet and so kind and they really helped me get through it.
‘Before I went on stage, I had to hold a bucket near me just in case, because I was so nervous, but it was also fun…
‘On the last night I didn’t really want to get off stage, my sister had to kind of pull me off stage because I was having so much fun, it was great, you gradually get more comfortable with it.”
She frequently shows off her stunning looks online
Raven has called her parents, who have been married for 28 years, ‘my number one supporters’, revealing she plays every new piece of music for them first

Her sizzling look earned praise from her mum, Gemma, who commented: ‘Absolutely brilliant look, you should go pink.’
Raven has called her parents, who have been married for 28 years, ‘my number one supporters’, revealing she plays every new piece of music for them first.
She said: ‘They don’t have a part in the songwriting, but as soon as I’ve written a song, or maybe a 10-second piano piece, I go straight to my parents….
‘I don’t really care about what other people have to say about the music, but I really care about what they have to say….
‘As soon as I put the headphones on my dad, I watch him. I watch to see if he’s enjoying it and if he’s like “this is s***”, you know, I watch.’
Asked if he’s ever criticised her music, she replied: ‘No, thankfully not! That would be horrifying! They’ve been great, they’ve always been really supportive, but always been honest, always giving me really good advice.’
Raven has also used songwriting to process her emotions. ‘If I have a negative experience, when something bad happens, if I’m feeling overwhelmed or if I’ve had a lot of anxiety, the one thing I do is sit down and just get it all out on a piece of paper
Raven has also used songwriting to process her emotions. ‘If I have a negative experience, when something bad happens, if I’m feeling overwhelmed or if I’ve had a lot of anxiety, the one thing I do is sit down and just get it all out on a piece of paper. That’s normally how I start,’ she said.
Her honesty has struck a chord online, where she often posts candid reflections with fans. She said: ‘I think it’s really important, especially Instagram…
‘People are able to see me every day and I think that makes them feel a little bit more connected. I put up a post that was me explaining “Just a Number”…
‘It was a two and a half minute video of me sitting down and just rambling about the song. That’s probably the most important post because I got a lot of women and girls relating to it and telling their stories and that meant a lot to me…
‘That was really nice to see and also sad, like “Oh my God, I’m so sorry you have to go through that, but it’s cool that we can all connect.”’
