Gary Lucy has furiously hit back at ‘narcissist’ ex Laura Anderson claiming she ‘exploits’ their 23-month-old daughter Bonnie to ‘stay relevant’.
The Hollyoaks star, 43, shares the tot with the former Love Island star, 36, whom he split from during her pregnancy. After their daughter was born the pair briefly got back together before then parting for good.
While it is unclear what alleged ‘exploitation’ Gary was referring, Laura in the past has publicly accused him of not seeing their daughter for several months. As well as claiming she’d been forced to miss out on work and time with the tot because ‘co-parenting and financial support didn’t exist’.
The soap star took to his Instagram Stories with a furious rant on Sunday following Laura’s latest swipe at fathers who ‘hide their income’.
Gary, who also shares two sons and two daughters with ex-wife Natasha, posted a quote which read: ‘The narcissists greatest asset for leverage is a child. Children of narcissists are collateral damage in their game of control’.
Before adding: ‘Don’t forget… exploiting the child for financial gain on socials anything to keeps em “relevant” [sic]’.

Daily Mail have approached Laura’s representatives, while Gary’s reps declined to comment.
It comes just days after Laura took to her own Stories with a post which read: ‘Explain this CMS ie UK Government. CMS calculation is BEFORE tax on the unemployed (some people paying 40% tax).
‘Ltd Companies (ie 1 Director) is calculated on <12k per year regardless of profit/ dividends’.
She added: ‘And nothing happens if a ‘Ltd company’ doesn’t pay (or hides their income elsewhere)’ before asking followers: ‘Is the system fair for single parents/ co parents?’.
In June Laura again took to her Instagram Stories saying she felt ‘s***’ for her daughter on Father’s Day after spending it without Gary.
She captioned a clip of herself sarcastically giving a thumbs up: ‘Cheers to the single mums that feel sh*t for their kids on Father’s Day’.
In another post she said: ‘And Great dads who show up and financially support their children. You’re children love you’.
The Scottish TV star claimed in June 2024 that Gary hadn’t seen their daughter since early January.

Responding to a follower, she wrote: ‘Do you mean has her daddy seen her…. No he hasn’t since 2nd January if you would like to direct those questions to him as I have no control over the actions of others x.’
A representative for Gary declined to comment when contacted by Daily Mail at the time.
Then in September the actor broke his silence on the matter when a cruel troll commented on a sweet clip of Bonnie playing with her elder brother.
‘When Theodore got to be the big Brother for the day …. If this doesn’t melt your heart I don’t know what will ,’ he captioned.
Laura’s latest post come days after she stripped down to a bikini to take a dip in her luxury £14,000 hot tub alongside footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson.
Laura went public with the sportsman last October, and the pair have gone from strength-to-strength in their new romance.
Celebrating their investment, Laura held up a glass of Prosecco in one hand, with her man cuddling into her.
She captioned the snap: ‘If you’re thinking of getting a hot tub this winter – do it!’.
Laura previously detailed the challenges she’s faced raising Bonnie as a single parent after she and Gary split before she was born.
She told The Mirror: ‘I think it was hard to get my head around initially, it wasn’t what I expected. But that’s the cards I was dealt in the end. Of course, I’m going to make it work for my child, even more so. I feel like I’m a really good mum, to be honest.’

Offering advice to other parents facing the same challenges, she added: ‘Prioritise what you need to do, it’s just me. I have to make it work. I am tired but of course, I’m going to be tired. I’m bringing up a human soul, that’s what I signed up for.’
‘[Bonnie’s] great, your social life does take a little bit of a backseat but most people, your good friends understand that.’
‘Think how many mums out there are struggling with that work-life balance, it’s not just me. It’s so relatable and that’s the best thing about ‘Love Island’, having a social media following, I’ve really understood it more since having a baby. It’s so nice to resonate and it really is a positive place.’
‘It’s just full of mums, it’s not all about ‘you’re trying to look sexy all the time’ because that’s not important.’
